Outstanding teaching skills. What an attitude, energy, passion. Nothing but absorbing every word like a sponge.

Wonderful teacher! I have great admiration for her because she can teach and she can play. A rare combination. She's true "artist-teacher" like Heifetz, Rosand, and Zukerman.

Wow the teacher performs those trills and other ornaments a lot more 'grazioso'. Those are simply amazing.

As a fan of serious music, with no real training in music, I love to hear Chee-Yun explain these (to me) subtle points. It helps me appreciate the piece more. When I saw her perform Dvorak about five years ago the combination of the gorgeous music, the expert performance and her own physical beauty was quite intoxicating. She is truly, as we say in current, colloquial, English the complete package.

I wish that the lesson lasted for a half an hour longer so they could finish the piece. I would like so much to hear what would teacher say about the rest of the piece. Still, even this 1 and a half page helps a lot with understanding and playing the Polonaise.

Chee-Yun Kim is a remarkable teacher. The student is quite talented and a learns quickly. If she learns to smile and enjoy the beauty of the music, she could go far.

I notice that Ms Kim reduces Page 2 to a Dont study - but I wonder how Henryk Szerying, who considered the practice of Dont 1 as his life's work, would have felt, if he'd heard this mindblowing execution from Chee-Yun? Absolutely fascinating, and if there's anything an aspiring violinist needs more than a Jewish mother, it's Chee-Yun at their elbow pouring out heartfelt warmth and emotion as a lifetime's worth of inspiration.

THE VIOLIN SEEMS TO BE SPEAKING AND TELLING A STORY. VERY FEMININE PLAYING. FLAMBOYANT. FRENZY. I LIKE IT VERY MUCH.

Is it me or the piano doesn’t sound good? Her playing is good but just the timbre seems off sometimes. It’s probably the mic

if student plays with teacher Chee-Yun's violin could be different. let you dad buy the good violin now, you deserve it.

+Sang Joo Her violin sounds louder because she has a microphone clipped to her top. Just in case you didn't notice :)
