@3:50 I always have the same feelings just as I am about to head down. I still remember the very first time I entered the Agroprom Underground in Stalker SoC, lol thinking I was "hot on the trail" of Strelok. Boy did that first run under stick with me to this day.

Maybe helpfull tip : You can go into agroprom underground from the hill next to the military base and you will be in and out in 2-3 minutes the only thing you have to kill is 1 burrer or bloodsucker or poltergeist and dont have to fight your whole way throught bandits and all other thing in there that way. And great content and series keep it up man :)

The stairway entrance outside the agroprom base wall is another easy way in and out.

If you need to sleep but not tired enough, then you can chop some wood. You just need and axe, be close to a tree and right click the axe for the option. It gives firewood that can be disassembled for wood parts for crafting, plus it makes your character tired.

I am similar, but i ALWAYS get med tools and gun smithing tools in the first two days. Seriously 100% of the time. This is because i spend the first week strictly in the South to grind simple tasks and south stashes have a much higher chance of those specialty tools.

@@michaelpease2103 Yeah me too. I'm always trying to get the basic, med and gunsmithing tools early. Get some good early gear which I can repair with the basic tools and do some tasks to get some green stashes in Army Warhouses and farm some mercs in Wild Territory. But always I just die in a dumb way :D

Fun fact about agroprom underground and the quest if you enter by the road where it looks like a service tunnel you spawn on a set of stairs you can walk down jump over the railing to avoid the toxic anomaly then walk down a corridor kill a single mutant and get to steelworks hide out. I always use it for my invicutus runs because it is soooo safe. Getting back up is just as easy just jump back over the railing!

Man, you do things that scare the hell out of me for an invictus run: standing in front of Duty as they shoot at the dogs outside Rostok, doing night missions with the least advanced NV, looting zombies while more are walking your way (I know it's just a quick keypress but augh!), how far you wade into anomalies to get artifacts. Absolutely wild! Have you considered doing a run with Mags Redux? I know it's controversial but I love the extra depth it adds to loadouts and preparation.

You should keep bandanas! They work like cloth masks. Plus if you want, you can get veles detector before expert tools by following hips questline (8 snork hands -> artifacts for sid -> delivery to beard). I got the veles from beard.

Love the series man! I'm getting my first few vids sorted. Looking to start releasing next year Dude, I see this more and more.... looting distance is measured from your eyes/POV, NOT your character. If you low crouch/prone you're closer to those artefacts and could pick em up without taking damage (cuz you don't have to get as close to the anomaly). Hope it helps ya save on some meds brother

ah yes, underground where dreams and hopes dies hard If you don't find scientist suit (edit - you did, I still play with Mercs ACE) you can always use fully powered artifacts - they're more than enough for your job. BTW you can use swiss knife for disassemble - either drop multitool in the stash, or hover the knife over the items. It's good idea to use Favourite/Junk tag. Pick former for armor and latter for, well, junk on the bottom. Because by default you're using Multitool on everything.

You can avoid the bandits down in the underground completely if you enter through the little stairway southwest of the Loner base, takes you right around the corner to Strelok's hideout

I spend ages grinding as well in my games, mainly because I try to be overprepared before I even think of trying to go past Radar. So lots of missions, stashes and hoarding materials, guns, armor and more until I'm fully stocked. Even so, I'd never complete anything as tough as Invictus, I have trouble paying attention and have died to numerous mutant ambushes.

I'd love to see a video from you about what the various stats mean for weapons and armor. Flatness, accuracy, recoil, etc, and what they mean and how they affect the weapon, plus maybe some testing on ballistic level and what stops what (pistol round vs shotgun vs rifle kind of thing). I can't find much on what they all mean other than some reddit posts from several years ago.

I really enjoy your videos!! One question: Is buckshot / hydrashock / hollow point always better against mutants - or are there cases when you should use slugs / fmj / ap?

I use slugs for bigger mutants (chimeras, pseudogiants etc...), fmj if I really dont have anything else on hand, never ap (i never did a deep dive on ammo so I'm just following the tooltips / basic ballistic principles, there might be more efficient ways in a case by case basis, but its been working fine this way so far for me)

Yeah it's pretty random what you get down there, controller is definitely one of the nastiest mutant to get. That's why I always just grab the docs and gtfo, exploring the whole place for some random items lying around is not worth the risk.

Are you checking your looted PDAs for stash locations ??? You can get stashes from them if you equip -> view , I'm just trying to make sure you know this ! I ALWAYS get them decrypted if necessary and check for stashes before I go selling or disassembling them. Even a white stash will usually be worth more than the value of the PDA unless you get unlucky with the stash or lucky with the PDA sell value .. But you can still sell the PDA after checking for the stash!

Just lost my run (vssk,lr300+monolith exosuit) to a gauss at radar...anyways, If you dont succeed on this run (idk if its pre recorded), u should give mercs a shot. If you start in dead city, then u can quest stack on the couple mili guys in Dark Valley- merc, freedom, & bandit all can give this quest with a lil f5/f9 action. This can give >50k roubles and is relatively easy to do. Also the merc bartender gives you the option to trade in 25 patches of any faction for a chance to win artifacts or sometimes a gun. If you savescum and are patient, this can get you an lr300 super early in progression.

Yeah this run is already done and fully recorded (wouldn't make much sense to do it any other way, it's so much work/time to edit these videos, I need to be sure it's a good run and worth sharing first!). Funnily almost all my runs before that where either freedom or merc (i would switch between the two factions after every death)... did probably 20 of those... until I lost a very good run 40+hrs in after wishgranter, realizing I was stuck because I killed gatekeeper by accident very early on and couldn't progress the missions... swore to never play anything but loner after that.

You know what They should add drugs in stalker gamma For example you go through all of the fights , long travels and hard missions . At the end of the day (night time ) your new bar of happiness will be at it's lowest So you need to take drgs to fill it up Note: I have never used drgs in my life

Yes you do get a guaranteed suit from them, don't know if it is always a specific color, but I always get a suit from the one in the swamps. Just be careful with the nerve wrecker Anomaly in agroprom. Don't even try without decent Psy block

Yeah I got this bug a lot where my weapons "unload" after a level change, it's very common but also random so I don't always realize it immediately. That's why I load my weapons with the ammo I want just before going to the underground, and I check they're still loaded just after the loading screen to be safe for example. Got burned many times because of this 🤕

Your ammo efficiency is terrible. Practice some aiming. Strangely enough, you deal with mutants way better than human opponents. You panicfire a LOT against humans.
