I really like the layout of the Cheeky Corner suite. How was being close to The Dock? I like that you can hear the music from that space when you stepped outside.

Having that little book on the side with the table is great - almost like having a totally separate space. Awesome for breakfast or getting a little work done. I loved being a quick walk to The Doc and Ashley elevator ride to The Athletic Club and The Galley. The music was always a nice level when sitting outside and we could never hear it inside the room.

Ok next cruise I definitely want to get a suite. That looks so nice, and as we are both drinkers (particularly on vacation) we may actually save money with an in room bar!

We don't usually sail in suites, but it was a very nice way to treat ourselves, and on some sailings the price makes it a pretty easy sell!

@@CruiseHabit I’ve yet to go on my first cruise. Maybe I’ll hate it and never want to go again. From what I’m seeing of VV in your and others’ videos, I think I’m going to absolutely love it and half my wardrobe is going to be “breathable.” If that’s the case I definitely want to try a suite once.

@@starfoozer For decades, 9 of 10 folks who have taken one cruise end up taking another. I've long suspected that many of the 1 of 10 who don't simply didn't take the right first cruise for them. You've done your research, so I suspect you'll be in good shape. Some folks refuse to cruise in anything but a suite, some spend as little as possible on their cabin, and most somewhere in between. Suites are a nice treat, but we always think of the cost and do the math to figure out how many more cruises we could pay for if we stuck with a nice verandah 🙂

@@CruiseHabit yeah, we’re nouveau middle class (1st generation making ends meet!), so I definitely don’t need a suite. We got an XL Sea Terrace this time because the cost difference is next to nothing to have that bigger bathroom. We’ll post pics when we get onboard. Apparently embarkation just got a lot faster. Whole lot higher stakes too.

I've always wanted to pick the "weird" rooms on ships. All the way forward on corners, rooms with unusual shapes, odd features, etc. I suppose this was sort of one of those. J had a forward room (slanted wall) on Wonder of the Seas a few months back - pretty neat.

Yep! Included for Rockstars and Mega Rockstars. For everyone else it's $5 for delivery, or they charge for any drinks instead...so an order which includes a $4 coffee, for example, results in a $4 charge even with other items, instead of $5.

I am going with a group and we plan to get a rockstar or mega rockstar room and a small room. How does that work if we want to hang out with our friends that aren’t in the rockstar/mega rockstar rooms? Can we get room service etc for the guests that are staying in a cheaper cabin?

You can order anything you want to your room. As for sending things to their room, I don't think you'll have luck - unless *maybe* if you're there. I've not tried requesting room service to another room, but since the app does know where you are, you've definitely given me an experiment to try this weekend when I'm back on Scarlet Lady. Anywhere else you're hanging out it won't matter, with the exception of Richard's Rooftop. The official answer is that Rockstars cannot bring guests there, however if your friend walks in with you, I've not seen or heard of anyone being asked to leave. We enjoyed RR, but didn't spend a ton of time there, as there are so many enjoyable areas on the ship. It was a nice place to get away if I wanted to be outside but in an extra peaceful area (though I'd argue The Dock is *made* for this).

I def smacked my knee on it a couple times on the first day, but got used to it. I'd say it's close, but not unreasonably close, I'm just a klutz 😂

Hurry up that persuasion as suites tend to fill up far in advance! While bidding is available, there are only winners if someone cancels last minute. Having sailed as Rockstars and as regular sailors, while the Rockstar experience is pretty awesome, it never felt like a compromise being in standard accomodations.
