Agradecemos o comentário! 🙂 A nossa preferência é despachar a maioria da bagagem, mas ficar com uma ou duas malas menores de rodinhas contendo tudo que vamos usar no primeiro dia (medicamentos, protetor solar, roupas de banho, uma troca de roupas para o jantar, etc.). Já que as cabines podem demorar um pouco para ficarem prontas no dia do embarque, é melhor evitar ter muita coisa para carregar em um navio cheio. Só não despachamos tudo porque já aconteceu da bagagem demorar até depois da janta para ser entregue, e nem sempre vem tudo ao mesmo tempo. Um grande abraço e aproveitem a viagem! 🚢

We didn't hear anything on this trip. Over the years I've had a lot of connecting rooms, and I think it was only on Harmony that I had an issue. Maybe that's luck, maybe we're the loud ones?

Thanks so much for watching! Those are the two large glaciers, but the whole area is spectacular. To me (and those in our party), it really didn't feel like, "we're going to see these glaciers" as much as "we're going to see a spectacular place, and there are glaciers." I've been to Hubbard Glacier as well on another cruise, though it was on a *much* smaller ship, so I'm not sure how the experience would be on a large ship like this (how close you can get). Overall I'd say Glacier Bay was a bigger, "all day" gorgeous experience, and Hubbard glacier, for us, was more spectacular for the glacier itself. As for sea sickness, I'm not sure how common that first rough day is as it was our first time out of Seattle. I don't suspect it's usually what we experienced, but that's speculative on my part. On our previous AK sailing we started in SF, went to Astoria, and then to AK, and the only rough time there, on a 650 pax ship, was heading toward Astoria.

There is no basketball court or other sport court on Edge series ships. They do have a gym and indoor fitness areas, as well as a multi-level walking/jogging track, however.

Enjoy! Love that they're doing unique offerings b/w the 3 and 4 night sailings to make it a great option.

In general it is definitely a lot more walking than on a ship like one of the Lady ships - though still less than a large land based resort, in many cases. Depends. Now, filming a ship tour and hitting every single space without stopping, I can assure you, is a lot 😉

Hope you guys had a blast and are enjoying your cruise! Utopia is great, but there is definitely something to be said for small ships.

You can sign up once you board. There is no cost. For Aqua Theater shows there is also a standby line for those without reservations, but that tends to be a bit harder than shows in the main theater (which often have available space).

There are two scenarios where it makes sense: 1) You don't want to have to think about it each time - so you're just paying for the convenience (and getting to try anything you want). 2) You look at the menus and your itinerary and you think you'd spend more on bottled water, specialty coffees, soda, and alcoholic beverages than what you'd pay for the package. This depends a lot on not just how much you drink while on the ship and at Coco, but what you drink. I was only on Icon once, and didn't get to see the show there, as they had cancellations - though I don't recall if it was a technical issue with the new show (it was the maiden) or a motion problem. I'd strongly suspect they have fewer cancellations, that was the point of the design, but I don't have data (anecdotal or concrete) to support or dispell that theory.

I'm not aware of what changes we'll see on Star (other than, I believe, an additional hot tub). I'll try to remember to research this though.

Depending on which pool, some of them are in line with or decently larger than those on other ships - and there are quite a few. Now, they do have a few plunge pools and such that are indeed quite small - but hopefully folks spread out in a way that works for everyone.

@@CruiseHabit ok, I wish that you would’ve said that in the beginning that your cruise is paid for instead of “invite on” I have no problem with content creators and channels making videos of the new ships but I wish they would put a disclaimer that either they’re getting paid or the cruise is free. This way I can make a better decision to subscribe. I’m sorry, I can’t subscribe.

​@@SilverHonda0767I appreciate the feedback. "We're on for a trade preview cruise - we were invited on by Royal Caribbean" seemed clear, but perhaps not. We generally pay for our cruises like anyone else, and pride ourselves in being transparent for the rare exceptions.

It's a considerable smoking area, but also a large ship. It's easy to avoid if you remember it's there, which is the challenge for me, TBH.

@@CruiseHabit Respectfully, as someone who is extremely sensitive and allergic to it, the smoke is going to be in that whole area. Meaning that deck would be off limits to someone with issues with it. And that is a big deal to not have access to that pool area even just to walk past it. The reality is that many people are not have a horrible sense of smell and are not bothered by it, especially not to the level as someone who gets reactions from it. More and more people every year are having medical episodes due to cigarette/vape/perfume/cologne exposure. I think that in this day and age, the cruise ships should be doing a better job of placing smoking areas away from main areas.

You mean a frozen daquari? Absolutely. Quite a few of the bars on the open decks should be able to do that for you. There are also several frozen drink machines at the Peaky Parrot on deck 5.
