Cheeky Mathilde and Playful Marije! We take off that annoying halter, sorry. Friesian Horses.
We use halters with the foals to get them used to it.
They shouldn't be too loose or they can get stuck in it with their hoof.
A foal grows so incredibly fast. That a halter quickly seems to be too tight.
As soon as the foals open their mouth to chew, for example, press the halter on the nose.
The down hair on the nose will rub off a bit.
But don't worry! There is nothing wrong. Everything turned out fine.

I went to “Horse Camp” every summer as a kid. We used American Qtr horses and mixed rescue horses. I fell in love with them. Watching your channel and these Magnificent horses of yours makes me very happy in the craziness we have in America. Can’t wait to watch more. Thank you for subtitles! Uniek is such a blessed horse so gentle and trusting of you Yvonne. Its no wonder you have a special place in your heart for this horse. The foals are growing so quickly as is your little boy I should imagine. Although it will be a while before he's prancing about the house. Amazing how quickly they grow! Just like children who seem to grow out of new shoes as soon as you buy them. I love how lovable the horses are. Gentle and trusting. Getting up in the am would be easier if I knew I would be seeing the horses. Fresians have wonderful dispositions.

I'd love to raise one of those fouls, so cute and easy going. Aside from needing their mothers, I can see that raising and training the Friesians together adds to their character and confidence, that by the time they reach 5 or 6 they can happily adjust to any ownership situation. It is certainly is a wonderful thing they do here for the Friesian breed.

Lovely filllies and so naturally friendly and brave even though they are still more used to being with horses than around people. It's interesting to see how these mares are willing to have people interact with the foals and do not feel that they need to keep the foals close to them when people they know are around. It is a very natural way for the foals to get more confident with people - but never rough or silly as they already seem to recognize that people won't accept rude behaviour any more than their mothers will!

For some WEIRD, inexplicable reason, the foals remind me of young ladies in high heels when they walk that bouncy walk. I love watching them kick up their back legs, bucking like it's so much fun! I couldn't help but think of Johnny when they were turning their heads so quickly and deliberately, flicking their manes from side to side. Foals are just so funny to me when they're this age. 🧙♥🐴🐴🐴!
