So much talent…but my unpopular opinion: there are way too many divisions. It’s even getting hard for fans to keep up 😅

Lots of devisions are small too. I competed in the Open Small Coed Level 7 Non-Tumbling devision, there were only 6 teams in said devision.

i agree w this but i can see why there are many divisions bc clubs like stingrays, topgun, ce, brandon , ca, and cheer athletics would just win every single year and would give no room for smaller gyms to get a gold medal. it would be almost like an oligopoly if there weren’t as many divisions

@@jordanspringfield9772 I get that, but competition is competition and the best team should be the one who wins. I also think that having so many divisions takes the honor out of winning for those who do, and some divisions are so small that there is hardly any real competition. If fans & competitors can’t even keep up with all the “world champions” we can’t really expect people outside the sport to take it seriously 😐 if anything was done to remedy that situation it should’ve been a D2 world championships like they did with Summit.

@@stingraysupdates I also think that having so many divisions takes some of the honor out of winning. I competed at worlds from 2010-2013 and never won (but did globe once) and I feel that back then the competition was more intense and much more like a true “world championship” than it is now…I hate to say it but USASF & IASF are just out here creating new divisions to give globes to everybody.

i know nothing about cheer but i just go into it recently, but like holy cow there's SO MANY DIVISIONS??? how do i keep up 😭 only level 6 goes to worlds right? and then seniors are up to 18 year olds, and the open divisions are like any age right? acK

Level 6 and 7 go to worlds! Senior divisions are age 13-18, open/international divisions are 14+ and level 7 is 16+ (those are the US age ranges) International age ranges are 14-19 for senior , 15+ for open/international and 17+ for level 7 Hope that explains!
