My CX10-WD (my version did NOT come with a regular throttle) worked for a dozen or so flights, but today after a charge I went to link to my phone and the app would no longer connect to the done. (I did connect to the wifi though) It just sits and flashes the 4 wing tip lights. I thought the battery had not charged, but connecting the charge cable to a USB volt meter it was showing about 4.2 volts when not connected to a USB power source. I trying the other app and nothing there either, no camera or flight. I did order a separate throttle for it a couple weeks ago when it showed up and I realized it didn't come with one, now I'm wondering if I've wasted my money twice, first on the short lived drone and then on a throttle for something that no longer functions. Maybe I'll be lucky and at least get it to fly with out the wifi once the throttle gets here.. but I bought all this on ebay from China, so who knows how long it'll be getting here..

You can use the CX-10WiFi app while using the transmitter, you just need to hide the on screen display by hitting the on/off button, it transfers control between the phone and transmitter.

I just got one, but it doesn't want to move at all... the quad itself just show a solid blue light when on, and blinks the same light when app is connected (and​ transmits the camera to app) but that's it.. remote do blinking sounds for pairing but quad doesn't light up or turn the motors.. anyone knows what I can do? I'm just opened it and I'm about to return it...

true mode 1 is actually throttle + aileron (roll) on the right stick, so i think this quad is actually mode 2 + either mode 3 or 4. australia and a few other countries are primarily mode 1

Got mine today. On first flight it went fairly well wouldn't fly much more than 3 feet off the ground. After recharging and trying again all it wants to do is fly straight to the ceiling every time. I even hit the one touch landing button and nothing, just keeps slapping against the ceiling. Little frustrated with it right because it seems to have a mind of its own. Any ideas?? Whooa that sounds strange, I would calibrate it, states how to do it in manual and start again. Apart from that contact the supplier with a short video showing problem. hope you get it sorted

Excellent video. Just ordered one! in UK now, flying rules are very strict for drones-all over 250g will require operator to be tested because of misuse-especially around airports! (some people just have NO common sense!). Love the smaller drones-can't beat the portability and fun factor-and less of a nuisance to others-though still observing the DRONE flying regulations/rules. Amazing that this tiny thing can carry a camera of any sort-I am getting old! And amazing the spare parts that are available!

@tigger have you tried recording thru the phone and at the same time using the transmitter? I saw reports that it has some binding issue with fpv and tx. Here's a comment in banggood "... you have to use the phone/tablet to control it ATM if you record as some glitch occurs which unbinds the TX ..."

Hi Jebb, isn't that what I explain in the video :~) that's why ATM I use the other app and then you can use the TX, once you turn on CX-10 app it cancels TX and WiFi takes over, if you use the other app it doesn't ;-) hope that makes sense? Cheers

Definitely worth getting to grips with one of these before getting a bigger drone. The blades are a bit fragile so well worth getting a set of spares at the same time! Flight time short BUT so is recharge time-only about 20-25 mins! Fun to fly-not quite as easy as I thought though lol!

Should just sit at one level, mine certainly does, I don't know of a way to adjust it, maybe worth calibrating, it might not help but always worth a go and nothing to lose, hope you get it sorted

Have you had any issues with charging it? I was just given this today -- my first quad-copter -- from my dad, who was unhappy with it. In large part because it is REALLY fiddly to get the charger plugged in correctly, and the connector on the quad itself is really wiggly. I'm suspecting there's a loose connection inside and might take it apart to check -- but i also don't want to break it

Not had any issues with it apart from it is a fiddle to get charge lead to stay in, but that is common on this type of charging system, force it in around the wrong way and it fries your board :-( Does sound like a something loose inside

This should be a great little quad..I had a CX10W, which worked well but was extremely hard to maintain altitude on...the altitude hold should make this a great flyer. There is also almost no lag on the wifi feed on these...not nearly as much as most wifi quads.

Like I say away at the moment, so can't confirm, but pretty sure, you can record video but the software, encodes it to keep it within itself, so you can only play it with the software, so pretty much useless if you want to share videos. Ifyou record in the first app it's just in a folder you can access and share. Hope that makes sense?

Hi David, pretty sure you can't share video from second app, some apps lock it in the program so you can't access it apart from with the app. I'm away from where my CX-10 is so cant check it out but pretty certain that is why, if you notice I recorded the screen to get the video hence the controls show ;-) Hope that all makes sense

Lots of FPV apps lock the video within the app, some you can share and get the video from there or you can use a screen recorder then transfer it to your video editor. Hope that helps

I think it took a couple of weeks, but it was awhile back, anything from China I always allow up to 3 weeks, unless you are going to pay for the special delivery charges. I think I paid £3.20 something which seems to be a DHL standard charge but quite often I get stuff from China with no customs etc charges, seems a lottery but it wont be much on something this price.

Battery lasts ages but if you need to change it usually just a few screws and pop the case apart and replace, usually plug and play but some(not many) need to be soldered. Not need to replace mine yet.

Glad you enjoyed it. I don't know about apple products. The wifi uses just the phone/tablet wifi system to access the screen only you do not need it connected to your home wifi and it doesn't use up any data either ;-) hope that makes sense

FYI I got two of these. One Silver and one Gold with transmitters. I was thinking I could fly both with the same transmitter. You must fly the Silver one with the transmitter it came with and the Gold one with the transmitter it comes with. You cannot fly the Silver one with the Gold ones transmitter or the Gold one with the Silver ones transmitter. Got mine on Ebay for $25.99 in the US. Can't say no to the price. Only downside is a short flight time but that is expected for such a small Quad. Doe;s so much for so little.

You will be able to bind them to another TX as they sell the TX separately and you would have to do a bind process. I don't know what that is but it has to be around the web somewhere. Good luck and enjoy your quads

I can't get it to fly, I have bound it. I try to throttle up and nothing happens. I press the auto takeoff and the props turn for a second and then stop and then the lights at the back of the quad flash Orange / red line the battery is dead. Any ideas?

This is almost the perfect Nano drone. FPV, Altitude hold, Form factor, Durability. Only downside is its battery life. I wonder when they'll be able to come up with a high capacity battery in a small form factor.

You left out the two most important parts! I got the CX-10WI when it came out and it's basically useless because it's impossible to fly. What you have with the 10WD is altitude hold which makes a huge difference for little micros like this. The other thing this has that the 10W did not is an _actual controller_ so that you can change it to goggle mode and use any Google Cardboard style $10 goggles to truly fly FPV. I wondered why the last update include that in the app and there's no way to use it if I have to use my phone as a controller, but now I see that it was added most likely for this little guy!

Tigger's RC Reviews I think a lot of the problem I had with the CX-10W (not the regular CX-10) might have had to do with the wifi, where the plain CX-10 isn't wifi. The other odd thing and with the 10W is I swear the original props are a tiny bit bigger hen the rest of the CX quads, and you see it in its struggle to gain and maintain altitude. I finally found a source that claimed they had the original 10W props so I ordered them and sure enough, they're about 0.5mm longer and when I out them on, altitude problem went away. Anyway I'm looking forward to getting this WD it's got great reviews across the board and it looks like a lot of fun!

I have had mine for awhile and I have to say one of my favorite first camera "mini" drones. I viewed your post back when I decided to buy one. Very dependable for its type. My problem now is the camera has stopped working with the "dedicated" app CX-10WIFI(there was a recent JULY 2017 update) I decided to try the app CX_WIFIUFO (also by Steve Chan) and that app works! Only prob is the CX_WIFIUFO app does not contain all the flying functions as it was NOT meant for this CX-10WD-TX. Weird how it does connect to the camera. Trying to get answers from CHEERSON Tech support but various "try this" responses are not fixing the problem. Have you updated your app since your review and still have a working camera? Using a Samsung Galaxy S5(android). My wife's IOS Apple phone did not work either...?? Has to be the latest update???

Updates can be a nightmare, my mates daughter has the quad now so I never updated it, not heard that she has any issues, but she may have not done it either, hope you get it sorted

UPDATE - I emailed Steve Chan (publisher of the App) about my problem. There was a CX-10WiFi app update Sunday, 10-29-17. That FIXED the problem!! Just as I thought. Now I have a working camera and can fly it from my TX & phone.

since these cost almost nothing to buy, just buy 2 or 3 of them, or 6 of them, LOL. I just wonder how the phone and Tx deal with binding from one copter to the next and back again? I mean I have paid $50 for a single lipo before (those Phantom quad flyers pay $150ea). And this whole package s like $50 from Banggood

I only have the one so can't really say but guess if in doubt turn one off and should bind no problem ;-) Yeah I pay over £100 for a spare battery for my H, go figure....mind you doesn't quite punch the 4K video LOL
