Motor cooling is one reason for the encased battery, the second reason is for weight centering. I've taken one apart and the battery is pretty well centered and locked into place. If you remove the battery or loosen it then put it back together without glue, it will move around. If that battery moves one millimeter, it translates to a great deal of drift with such a small prop span. Big quads don't notice a battery flopping around a great deal. These baby quads need that load centered and solid. Thanks for the vid. I'm unboxing my new CX-10 now.

You can better up the controlability of the copter by changing the original levers on the remote against aluminum rods, to give them some extra length and grip. Some guy used to sell those on ebay, I've mounted them on my controller, it's like you control that thing with a pro remote in an instant. Unfortunately, I don't find that seller any longer.

@megahombre249 жыл бұрын
Sherwood Studios Hi there, it's great!!! Amazing how much fun you get in such a small price. Getting used to the basic controls just takes some time, since I play a lot on console with controller and analog-sticks, I got used to it in just a few test-flights. Advanced techniques require waaaay more time though, leaning into the turns for example.. It's amazing how robust this little fellow is, of course I also crashed it into the wall or the ceiling a couple of times or some rough landings but the thing just doesn't care at all. No broken wing so far (4 spare wings come in the package, which I didn't have to use yet). The tricks (sommersaults) performed with pressing in the right analog stick are very simple to perform and a lot of fun to watch. The three programs (beginner, intermediate, advanced) are also very helpful for getting used to it. Flight-Duration is really about 5-10 minutes and the recharge is also very quick, about 15-20 minutes I would say. Bottom line: GET IT!!! :D Hope, this was helpful to you. Cheers

I bought it because in your blog you recommend starting with a cheap drone before purchasing a more challenging and expensive model, however I had already bought a Walkera racer 250, which I am slowly learning to pilot, but for some reason I struggle a lot to keep it below two or three meters above the ground; it's like it wants to take off like a rocket all the time (and sometimes it just does) any idea of what i am doing wrong?
@Quadcopter1019 жыл бұрын
Eric Avila A Walkera 250 is NOT a beginner's quadcopter to learn to fly with. It is somewhat touchy on its controls. I recommend that you not fly that until you gain more experience, as you will likely crash and require numerous repairs to it. The CX-10 is a nice intro to quads, and should help you learn the basics. But is also somewhat twitchy in its controls. When you eventually feel ready to fly your Walkera (after much practice on your CX-10), I recommend that you fly in auto-leveling 6G mode. Do not attempt 3D mode. To prepare for 3D mode flying, I recommend the following simulator program to parctice on. You can use your Walkera's Devo transmitter with it www.banggood.com/ReaFlight-G7-Phoenix5-XTR-Simulator-with-Unique-Serial-Number-p-924341.html?p=RB0922217402201307U3

@Quadcopter10110 жыл бұрын
Actually you can. Or you can provide full roll and no pitch. Or you can provide full back pitch. The idea is that in reality there is no front or back on a quadcopter. It flies equally well in any direction. Keep an eye out for a video that I'll be releasing in a few days called L6052 Sideways Flier". It will show you what I mean.

I watch many of your reviews and you are my favorite. Keep up the good work...Because of that I was wondering if you could help me through something with my cheerson cx 10s. I bought two of these quadcopters recently and they have both died. I never really crashed them or anything so I don't understand exactly why they stopped working. That being said, I did fly them like thirty times a day because of the great joy these nano drones bring me. Could flying them so frequently have lead to the motors not working. In both quadcopters one or more of the propellers won't spin and I have tried everything I have seen online. I believe the motors are dead. There is another one coming in the mail. What do you think would be a good rule of thumb for how many times a day I fly them? Do you think I would have better luck with the D1 super nano drone?

my cx10 has the controller reversed from the one in the video, is there a different version available?
@seriouslynotacop9 жыл бұрын
Maybe you can help me since I can't find anything on this anywhere on the web. I have an original (?) CX-10. One of the motors stopped spinning so I took it apart and saw that one of the solder joints for that motor had come undone. I soldered it back up and was flying again. However, ever since I re-assembled it, I get these random, high-speed pirouettes while flying. It always recovers. It's almost as though it's programmed to do it because they're very precise and much faster than the actual yaw rate when I input rudder. I just replaced all of the motors and it flies better than ever, with the exception of the random spin outs that still occur even with fresh motors. Thoughts? Thanks!
@Quadcopter1019 жыл бұрын

The solder joints are definitely good and clean. I bought a second one for comparison and it hasn't so much as taken a bump and it has done it a few times also. I might be getting some kind of interference with the transmitter signal. It doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes it goes through several charges without occurring even once. Dunno. Weird!
@Master_Nightstone9 жыл бұрын

If you have to store it more than a month, charge the quad roughly half its capacity (for example; if it takes 20 min. To charge, charge it for 11-12 min.

Hi, couple more questions please: 1. What's the top speed, estimate? 2. How far away until out of range? 3. Maneuvering...can you get it thru a basketball hoop a hundred yards away?
@Quadcopter10110 жыл бұрын
10 MPH? 30 meters No, the transmitter in its current state will never make 100 yards. BUT you can modify the transmitter by soldering additional wire to the antenna to make it 1/2 wavelength instead of 1/4 current. Then it just may make 100 yards distance.

I know that this might be a dumb question,, But What exactly does the Trim button's do on quadcopters? Can someone give me a general idea???? Going to purchase one soon but as for now i'm just doing some research on them in order to know what to buy.

Just got a cheerson CX-10 yesterday. never flown a quadcopter before, and slowly learning. But what do people think is easier to fly, the Cheerson cx-10 or the Syma x5c-1?
@ibainesy9 жыл бұрын
Lol... already done that haha. Now looking forward to my next purchase/build.

Looking into parts for the last few days... I'm sure building it won't be too hard but choosing the right parts is at the moment. because it's my first time y'know. Also, when you do buy it. get a large pack of props for the CX-10. you get like 40 props for only $5.

@Quadcopter1019 жыл бұрын
+Johnny Angel No, sorry, too small to lift a 17 gram 808. But if you want one that has a camera already built in kzbin.info/www/bejne/oIushYqBmc2KrdE

What is the charge time like on this little one?
@SparkyBreaks9 жыл бұрын
With my mini quad (this exact model) I'm able to get about 40 meters range on it. I've flown it well above 80ft in the air and again 40m distance at a low flying level. Sometimes shorter but again "average"

How long have you been flying drones for
@rexfarell9 жыл бұрын
I've followed all your recommendations: I bought 1 minicopter, which I've broken countless times...actually I've become quite good at fixing it, I got the simulators and I've been using phoenix rc on regular basis. All this has taken longer than I expected cause shippings from China take forever to reach my country, however now I am in a better position to ask less stupid questions. First, I assume 3D flying is manual flying, right? also, I understand auto-leveling is assisted flight. What I don't get is the meaning of 3G mode, is it a special flight mode for CX-10? another question I have is can I fly using auto-leveling mode in phoenix? I've tried to set the Fmod in my devo, but it does not respond to anything I do, it just flies acro all the time. Thank you for taking the time of answering my noob questions!

I know that you have reviewed the Pocket Drone (777-124).I have two units sitting and will not fly. The transmitter will not come on, the batteries are new the Battery posts are welded inside. Any ideas? I now have 4 transmitters--none work.
@Quadcopter1019 жыл бұрын
+Bud Jones Make sure that the batteries are actually touching the contact points. The top posts of some batteries may be a little too short and not actually touching the controller's metal contact points. You might try a different brand of batteries in that case. But, if you're certain that they're touching, the next step is to contact your vendor to see if they can help. If purchased from China, it's best to upload a short video showing the problem to help overcome the language barrier. And finally, if they won't help, nothing beats opening a Paypal "receipt of defective goods" dispute to make your vendor come alive with help.

If I have 2 of these, (for my 2 cousins) will the 2 controllers interfere with each other or can the boys fly together without problems? Thanks.
