CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE

Hamburger Casserole! Delicious and low carb. A great tasting dish for everyone in the family whether you are eating low carb or not!!!

Cheeseburger Casserole
(Low Carb)
1 ½ lbs. ground beef
½ cup chopped onion or to taste
2 tsp. garlic or to taste
1 ½ - 2 cups grated cheese of your choice plus more to sprinkle over top
½ cup heavy whipping cream
Large tomato, chopped or to taste
1 tsp. fresh minced basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Brown your ground beef with the onion and garlic until cooked through. Drain.
3. Transfer your meat to an 8 x 8 baking dish or pan.
4. In a bowl, stir together the cheese minus what goes on top, the heavy cream, tomato, basil, salt and pepper.
5. Pour the cream mixture over the beef mixture and top with the remaining grated cheese.
6. Bake until the casserole is bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly browned, about 25-30 minutes. Enjoy!

I'm going to try it. Looks yummy. The best salt is Iodized salt. I have a thyroid condition and that is the only thing I can get in my diet that has iodine.

Sometimes I cook and freeze meat for later use. I just went ahead and cooked all the meat at that time instead of doing 2 different times. 😊
