Beyoncé is hyped because she's fricken TALENTED nobody can deny that or take that away from her. Her voice can move mountains and she's an incredible dancer. One of the only artists who's continued to bring consistent energy, outstanding performances and originality year after year. I don't really think she's been that much of a voice for the black community though (from a white girls perspective) especially considering the amount of power and opportunity she has. I think someone like Oprah has used her power a lot more effectively and publicly. That's just my personal opinion though :)
