Looks like Tygra and Cheetara had a little thing going for each other, long before the days of Lion-O and the Lord of the ThunderCats. As Tygra shyly stands guard, Cheetara already knows how to make him speechless. The Cats are ready to retrieve the stone from the "Astral Plane" in the Elephant Village, but find it overtaken by Grunea and Mumm-Ra's forces. Yesika Narvaez Also Snarf was created by Mumraa thousands of years ago. It was Snarf that caused the ship carrying all the animals on board to crash. Apparently he was rummaging around the ship cutting wires with his little toes.

The biggest difference I see between the two series is the setting In the original Thundercats the Third Earth was an unfriendly place to live in and was sparsely populated, the whole show had a frontier look complete with undeveloped land and monsters The 2011 Thundercats seems to be set in Medieval Europe

The pairing was always there...in the comics Tygra and Cheetara even have children. So it didn't really surprise me. However, I was very disappointed with Tygras personality in this series. I like him so much more in the 80's version.

They should ve considered tygras character before making him go with cheetara. And not give the viewers false signs of cheetara liking lion-o

It's so weird for me, 1st of all because as much as I KNOW I watched this when I was little (I'm...cough...29...ugh, I am so old...) , all I remember is their symbol. I hope they continue this. this is the only remake of an old cartoon that actually does the orginal justice if not more so. A shame about what happened to pumyra tho. an epic plot twist that i didn't see coming. i was more expecting she would just leave at some point not outright backstab everyone. this kind of drama pushes it a bit higher than the orginal in my opinon

Seems the ratings for both the original airing and re-runs confirm that TyChee lead to a decline in viewers. Sad that a cartoon was brought down and cancelled due in large part to pairing together two characters the majority of fans did not want to see together.
