Sometimes I just think how with chef dead the boys lost the only true adult they could ever look up to, and that’s pretty heartbreaking.

Chef was sort of refrence in episode "Creme fraiche" where Randy becomes new chef at school and say the "Hello there childreen" line. In the Stick of truth game they did use his songs to play in the background in few locations.

Isaac's son once expressed interest in taking the role of Chef at some point in the future.

Question. If they ever decided to bring Chef back to the show, and they got a sound alike who was 99% accurate, would you be on board with that? Or do you think it's best he remain outta the show out of respect for Isaac?

Chef was the greatest SP character, it’s sad that the character died, and Isaac Hayes just a few years later. He was basically Merlin to the boys King Arthur.

I was disappointed too but I understand. no one can sing like Chef better than Isaac Hayes. Also I think they never mention Chef because deep down, they feel bad about what they did to him and there's nothing they can do to fix it

Also I heard that Barry White was offered the role of Chef but he turned it down because he found the script offensive. R.I.P. To both Barry White and Isaac Hayes, both gone too soon.

Despite not seeing the show properly (and I'm willing to someday), I heard about Chef. He's cool. Even a best friend of mine loved him so much...that he understandably didn't want to watch any more South Park episodes following the season 10 premiere, which let me tell you, is gruesome! 😲 Shame to lose Chef that way; he's a part of what makes South Park awesome. Plus, he's pretty relatable.
