The new ‘head chef’ at the restaurant I work at threw one of these in the trash… it was extremely filthy from months and months of making omelettes and other things.. I immediately asked what’s wrong with it? ‘it doesn’t work. you can have it if you think you can fix it….. Seriously? I replied? ‘Yup but its broke’ … first thing I check is the igniter and it sparked perfectly fine. Hmmmm.. scrubbed the burner outlets with a brush.. sprayed off the residue with a can of duster, grabbed a new can of butane…. fired up like it just came out of the box. Use it almost daily and it is the greatest camping stove EVER. 😂🤣. One person‘s trash is another person‘s treasure

All it needed was some TLC, glad to hear you were up to the task and gave this amazing appliance the amazing life it deserves! I use this appliance just about every time I cook, truly is a favorite! Again, glad to hear you are now enjoying it as well !!! If you're up for it, we'd love to hear what your favorite meal to make with it is, or if there's something you'd like to see us make with it, or really just anything you'd like to share. We love hearing from people!

I've got 3 butane cookers and I've been using one to heat the Bathroom with a heater unit on top of the Hob !!!! They are really fantastic !!! I shall use them in the summer outside for cooking !!! I've just bought a Butane Mini Oven !!!! I wanted it for Baking Homemade Bread !!! A cannister lasts about an Hour, but if you have several Cannisters, then you don't have to worry about the cost of Electricity !!! In the UK the cost of Electricity is Very Expensive so I only use Electricity for running my 2 Freezers and Computer, X Box, Tablet Computer and Shower etc !!!! I don't use much Electricity for Cooking, Washing Clothes or Heating !!!! I use Cast Iron Basic Pans which hold the heat and work on a very low flame !!!! The cooker I have been using has been very reliable. I didn't want a cooker that uses large cylinders !!! They are heavy and I would have to keep going to the Garage to Refill it. I use a welding hammer to bash a Hole in the empty gas cartridges so they won't explode in the Garbage Lorry !!!!

The instructions say don’t use indoors. Is it safe?

He didn't mention these stoves give off carbon monoxide. They really aren't designed to be used indoors. Make sure you're in a well ventilated space if you do. t

Not much of a "review" but more of a how to on making starchy water. One question that no one seems to answer... does the propane cansiter get hot from being so close to the flame?
@altheamcnabb2829
@altheamcnabb2829 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, some lady on here explains why it can explode also. Basically don't put a large pan or pot on it because the flames will then get to close to the canister. There is something extra to look for on the back also, a warning. Some canisters have it and some don't. Sometimes its got a blue ring on the top you cant miss. Thats the one that has the extra warning you wan to us.

Do you know if the heat is because of the butane that is used? or can any butane cylinder produce 15000 bTUs? My stove is a 9000 BTUs, but I would like it to be hotter. Wondering if the stove will increase the heat, even if I’m using the same butane as I always use.? Thanks )

That frying pan looks too big for a camping stove, you risk overheating the gas canister. Stay safe, use a smaller pan please.

Thank you, I appreciate your looking out. You are absolutely right. I have in fact noticed the size difference and safety risk and typically now do use smaller pans. Thank you, again:)

Nice review. However, tf you use a cast iron skillet/frying pan, then you'll use less gas because cast iron needs less heat to get hot, therefore cooks food much quicker than stainless steel pans. Aluminum versions are inefficient because the metal is a poor conductor of heat. Again, an excellent review - many thanks, Wendi UK 🌻

If you would like me to make something using it, comment the meal suggestion and I'll get to it as soon as I can so you can follow along.

I'm afraid not, because when you buy single gas stoves, you have to buy cylinders/cannisters of butane separately.
