Munchies

Күн бұрын

Part of the new generation of Belgian restauranteurs, Richard and his friends offer us a lively guided tour of their favorite locations in the capital. What started wisely with a drink at 203 ended in fire alarm, food porn, 25 bottles of wine, 10,000 calories, and striptease on the street. In short, a memorable evening.

He's got some pronunciation that's reminiscent of the Aussie accent and the SA accent in different places, but there's some inflection that is reminiscent of both Afrikaans and even Xhosa in the way he truncates certain syllables or cuts certain words short. I'm sure being in Belgium also has had a pretty substantial effect, seeing as they speak Dutch, German, and French there.

@Dz H ...gay people? He's...not even gay it was a joke in the video. And even if it wasn't, it's 2020. It seems pretty obvious that y'all are obsessed with homosexuality bc of your own insecurities. It's a shame people are so concerned with who other people love.

Think it depends on friendship groups, the stereotypical US 'bros' 'lads' wouldn't usually partake but groups who are confident in their sexuality don't mind and nobody else cares really. However, you might also see groups of 'bros' 'lads' partaking as a show of dominance and overcompensation too

@@KoenMiseur No, Belgian food too. It's just that this dishs have negative views in Wallonia and Flanders since end of World War II (thanks God for that!). They are seen as old fashioned and too greasy. And it's true, modernity is the best. Even in Brussels this outdated cuisine progressively disappears and it's for the best. My wallonian grandma cooked all this dish for me when I was young, and I hated each one of them.
