In this very special episode, we caught up with our favorite culinary couple, Jessica Yang and Robert Compagnon. In 2019, we visited them at Le Rigmarole, their yakitori-centric restaurant, but a lot has changed since, and now they run the wildly popular ice cream parlor and wine bar, Folderol, and have turned the former into Pizzamarole, a sourdough pizza place they run with their friend Dan Pearson. And this is where Action, Clovis, and their rag-tag wine and food crew hung out for a few hours one afternoon this past summer. The neighborhood life in France is so intimate to see as outsiders. It's just like every city but seeing it surrounded by architecture and some of the best food and wine makers it's incredible. Actions a neighborhood guy in Queens (or anywhere in NY really) so seeing him hanging out like that in different neighrhoods across the globe is what makes following his career so fun.
