"Dubai Style" cracked me up so hard haha. The subtitle didn't do it justice, as in it's a roast of his cutting was wasting more edible parts as he should be, "luxury" not as a compliment. I think "lavish" instead of "luxury" is a better translation.

The "Dubai knife Style" was going to popular cuz of some videos about selling fruits in Dubai several years ago in chinese social media. Whether by hands or by maschines in the videos many parts that Chinese consider edible will be cut off, especially pineapples. The fruits are not so cheap like middle East (maybe), but like Europe. So the word "Dubai knife Style" is the euphemism of the word waste...
The breakdown in this video is just simply astounding. I never really truly considered the amount of detail that goes into these dishes, such as the length of the pieces, the depth of the cut, and the color of the finished product. I guess this is what separates professional chefs from homecooks. I really hope to see more videos like this.
I love when professional chefs show off the knife skills!! Love the technical breakdown like this, details are 👌👌

7:17 onwards. That made me remember a quote by Bruce Lee. "I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times."
