Enemy tanks have superior range! enemy tanks : Panzer 2s with 20mm guns Jokes aside, they should be Panzer IV Gs / F2s with the 75mm KWK 40 which definitely has superior range, or the Panzer 3 variants with 50mm guns which does have a marginal advantage over the 2 pounder gun on the Crusader.

Not all the Panzer IIIs had the long 50mm. Many Panzer III Js are incorrectly believed to have had the Panzer III Ls long 50mm, the Js did at times have them but the J designation was for up armoring

Considering this mission is set during the beginning of 1943, it's safe to say these are Crusader IIIs, not Is or IIs, meaning they will have been equipped with the 57mm 6PDR gun which is more than capable of knocking out any German armour it faced. Crusader IIIs with a superior gun compared to their predecessors, were rushed to Africa as soon as they left the factories in 1942. The only tanks that could outrange them would have been Panzer IV Gs.

I used to stand on the other hill, sniping the enemy and taking out as many panzers as possible before advancing with the others. It saves many of the fellow tankers next to ya. Another thing, the enemy panzer is the Panzer II models. In real life the panzer II:s were fucked against the the Crusaders. The first, they have the worst armor. The second, no problem for the Crusaders "small guns" to pen their front armor. The third the british have a 40mm gun, the panzer had a 20mm gun AND it's was AUTOMATIC. The panzer COULD take out the Crusader at short ranges cus of the Crusader had bad armor to, but the Crusader took em out at medium cus it had a much more accurate gun and lager caliber.
