I just made this and I put some on my fresh sour dough bread that I made today. I had left over cucumber and butter lettuce from lunch and put it on top of the bread and cream cheese. I sprinkled more salt and nutritional yeast on top of the cucumber pieces. It was so delicious! I love it. And I used my first batch of dill from my garden.

I made a smaller batch than your measurements I did Less than 1 cup of hemp seeds 1 lemon Garlic powder Pepper Sea salt Dill And splashes of water it really did not need much since it was a smaller amount the lemon juice was a good amount of liquid Tastes so good I’m excited for my husband to come home and we eat a yummy sandwich together Love your channel thank you!! 💜

That looks very nice. I have made hemp seed ‘milk’ in a similar way, I thought I had to have mix it with vinegar and lemon and separate or strain after letting it rest or cooking. My question is; is this essentially just the same as just using less water when liquidising?

Love this. A little late watching this, but that's ok. Not sure if you will get this, BUT, I've been using organic white sugar for my kombucha, would the rapadura work (cup for cup)? OR, the organic cocnut sugar (it seems to be called organic coconut palm sugar here in Canada)??? Thanks : )
@ChefCynthiaLouise5 жыл бұрын
its a tricky one actually.. for me rapadura sugar is the best, google it. I have used it and it works, it might take the scoby a couple of goes to get it settled but it's worth it..thanks for your question xx
@acminkus5 жыл бұрын
@@ChefCynthiaLouise seems like these guys are fully behind the rapadura choice... and they play around other sugars that maybe some would be hesitant to try kombuchahome.com/types-of-sugar-to-use-for-brewing-kombucha/
@acminkus5 жыл бұрын
@@ChefCynthiaLouise And they seem to like the idea of coconut sugar as well - potentially increasing beneficial microbes - though as you say, a little finesse might be needed kombuchahome.com/brew-kombucha-coconut-palm-sugar/
@flickaJay5 жыл бұрын
@Alison Minkus I have had coconut sugar and it's absolutely wonderful. On the other hand, coconut palm sugar is different and just because it says that it's organic doesn't mean non-GMO, especially here in the states where they have relaxed the laws that will allow a farmer to call their 'garbage' "organic". I hope Canada hasn't done such to you yet. The majority of Palm oil and hence the products from the tree are rarely pesticide-free let alone GMO-free. But do your own research also.

To make this plain for like a dessert or something--- what would you suggest to leave out? Just the dill n garlic? Or would the lemon/lime need to be left out also.
@flickaJay5 жыл бұрын
I know that for a cheese cake you would have the citrus ( since cheese generally is fermented which gives it the sour taste and being vegan one would without hesitation taste it - cheeses sour rotten taste) but definitely no dill, save for the sandwich, dill sounds really great.
