I just bought that exact same model of air fryer. I am confused about the metal tray. It has little rubber tabs that stick out. In the manual it says that those rubber things are removeable. But, they allow the tray food tray to sit higher off the bottom, and firmly. I just removed them and without the rubber tabs, the tray sits perfectly on the bottom of the basket. I figured IF I leave them on, they will melt ? But if they are silicone rubber they will not melt. I am confused. And with the tray raised an inch and a half, any food would come out crispier. So, do I remove those rubber tabs, or what ? I called Chefman's Helpline but of course they are closed on the day before Christmas. If you can help, much appreciated. Thank you. Great video, too.

I leave the rubber tabs on and have no issues. Having it lifted does help get it cooked from the bottom also.

Thanks so much. I double checked with their 1 888 Helpline, and the tabs have to stay on for frying. The metal tray should not ever be placed on the bottom. It must sit about an inch and one half above the bottom of the basket. I guess those little rubber tabs are silicone, because they will not melt in the high temperatures of the fryer.@@shoppingwithsheryl
