I used to use this when I had a perm for rod sets or just a regular set on rollers. I also used it in the beginning of my natural hair journey when I would flat iron my hair to keep it straight. I do still have some but I would not use it now. Also, we never called it blue water, we just called it lottabody.😂

I used to have long curly hair and I remembered when I would go to the salon and Giovanni will always use this blue water ( I call it purple water) for my hair-dos. This always left my curls more defined, bouncy and shiny! It also gave a good hold to the curls. I just purchased this liquid today and I can not wait to use it for the holidays!!

Use this for years in my hair train as a hairdresser in my teens over 30 plus plus plus years ago still use it set in curlers go under a hoodie hair drier it’s shiny held curls for 5 days lived in a hot Jamaica with humidity it’s awesome still use you also can brush out the crunchiness the curls still remains

OMG! Milo is so adorable! My lil Yorkie when I got him used to cry like that so much! I tried putting him in a crate by my bed but he cried and cried and after I put him in my bed, he was as happy as he could be! He’s 2 now and I live him so much! Enjoy your baby!

@J Luna Dilute means to make (a liquid) thinner or weaker by adding water. Lottabody is sold in a concentrated form to hairdressers some storage space, so you have to mix it with water in a spray bottle whenever you need a fresh batch of it.

Omg I just got it as well after not using it for many years. I used it as a top coat on a regular wash and go. I was using products that I knew didn’t give me enough hold. So I used that on top.

Chelli, I remember Blue Water. We used it all the time when I was growing up. As my daughters were growing up in the 90s, I used it on their hair. After I set their hair, I put them under a hooded dryer. We have waves galore. Their hair was beautiful and it lasted for 5 days. Recently, I tried it again but it didn't work out for me as well. I was bummed. You brought back great memories. :)

I love using this setting lotion in my curls. I mix it about 60/40 and I use it in a foaming wrap/mousse bottle and it works sooooo good for me. I use a serum over it and I love it. Your hair looks great IMO (m sorry it didn’t work for you ❤️

Girl your hair looks amazing! I love frizz. The bigger the better lol I think if you tried it after applying a leave in conditioner, you would be good. Also, i think the crunchy hair was because we used to put our hair under the dryer, (which made the hair go from wet to dry, via heat).

Yesssss I’ve definitely used this... I used it when I was younger for my Wash and Go’s like when I was in highschool with my Eco Gel 🤣 only thing I never used anything afterward. No squeezing products out with cotton or anything. I use it now with a perm rod set just on the hair before putting the roller in. Works well like that for me. Your still beautiful Chelli ♥️ but I definitely understand bc I hate frizz. My curls need to be defined or I’ll redo my whole wash and go 🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh Man! I used to use this all the time. What I do to make it work is 1. Put it in a spray bottle. I hate the bottle it comes in. 2. I use a leave in. (Really what I do is leave a bit of my conditioner in from my wash. So I like Deva’s one condition.) 3 and if I have time to fluff and break up curls one by one, I wet plop

I am struggling! That is how my hair comes out after normal curly girl products like NYM or Maui Moisture. I deep condition every week, I try the denman brush, I scrunch, I use a cotton shirt, nothing works. My hair has been in braids or bun for the last 2 weeks because I can't get it to stay unfrizzy past the first hour. I don't know what else to do. Help!

Erica Espiritusanto have you trimmed? When I have a consistent streak of subpar wash and goes, I go in a a protein treatment and it usually gets my definition. And if I don’t wanna use a “protein treatment,” I go in with stylers that have protein.

I used to use Lotta Body for roller sets. The curls would last for days and be hard as a rock. I had to wash it out because my hair was so hard if I combed my hair it would break into pieces.

It's your method. Try dedicating the time under a hooded dryer or start on clean dry hair you will get different results. Setting lotion is intended to dry and set quickly.

Hey Girl, fyi not sure if you know but that version is already diluted. Remember the one back in the day, we had to dilute it. So maybe that's why you don't have the Crunch you remember. They may have really watered it down. You need the concentrated old school version. Hope this helps. Now I'm not saying it's gonna work, just wanted you to know that this is a newer version 😉
