Just to clear this and help you.... Messi is better than any other football player ever. Here is why: I will take Ronaldo for example because he is the closest one to Messi and second best player of all time... Messi on individual level has 894 matches, 719 goals, 335 assists, 6 golden balls(most in history) and 6 golden shoes(most in history) so he has like 1054 goal contributions (= goals + assists) in 894 matches(first player ever to reach over 1000 goal contributions). Ronaldo in the other hand has 1037 matches, 759 goals, 254 assists, 5 golden balls and 4 golden shoes. If you want to judge them properly you have to go by the ratio because Messi has much less matches than Ronaldo. Messi has a goal ratio of 0.86 goals per game while Ronaldo has a 0.68 goal ratio per game. Both of them are in Top 10 players with most goals in history BUT Ronaldo has most matches than any other player in Top 20 players with most goals(pretty bad). Messi could go 1.5 year without scoring a goal and still have better goal per game ratio than Ronaldo. Lets see the team level: Messi has 4 Champions League, 10 Leagues, 8 Cups, 6 Super Cups, 3 Fifa World Cup and 3 Uefa Super Cup. Ronaldo has 5 Champions League, 7 Leagues, 2 Cups, 3 Super Cups, 4 Fifa World Cup, 3 Uefa Super Cup and 1 European Cup. You can see the difference here too(and i havent even mention the not so important team trophies of Messi and with them he has 37 trophies😂). And Messi has played all his career in Spanish League with Barcelona which is the most difficult thing while Ronaldo moved from good teams to good teams all the time. He has go to United in England, Real Madrid in Spain and Juventus in Italy. Its more easy to gather more trophies if you move to the best team of each league and yet Messi has more trophies while he has only played with Barcelona. Messi has the most football recors such as most goals in a single year(91), most goals with one team(646), 3th player with most trophies in the history and so many others that there is no point of telling them all. You can say Ronaldo is a great scorer. He scores goals ok. But Messi is a great goal scorer (actually even better than Ronaldo) while he is also a great playmaker, great assister, great dribbler and so many other things. Messi is more complete. So i think i made you the difference more obvious to help you see who the real GOAT is. Some people judge Messi because he has won no trophie with his national team but he is too good with Barcelona that there is no need to win something else to prove that he is the best in history.
