I love this woman, if I could ever have a friend a gf I would want her to be like Chelsea her honesty and liberation and being a womans woman in the world as it is today is so inspiring and enlightening...watching her family fall apart to bring them together the way she puts it is something so many families can relate to. go girl

I love seeing these types of interviews with Chelsea. She's brash, fearless, blunt, and hilarious, but if you've read her books, listened to interviews from her friends, or seen her personal interviews, it's clear that at her core she very much loves the people who are important to her. I love getting to see the interviews that humanize her because I think she's actually a very caring person beneath all the insults she's so good at dishing out.

This was a GREAT INTERVIEW. Katie has the power to bring out these kind of emotions of Chelsea Handler, whom I absolutely adore, but she is always the funny gal, hard exterior kind of person. So its really great to see how emotional, and real she really is.

The amount of haters in the comment section is pathetic. Yes, these girls remind you of the cute blond girls everyone envied and hated in high school because they seemed from a distance to act like posh princesses, until you actually talked to them and found out they were dealing with the same situations, insecurities and problems as any other girl. Don't hate, congratulate.

I think it's cruel to beat the shit out of someone by making them re-live their tragedies. Interviewers tend to do this. Larry King is famous for bringing up tragedy. He bombarded Marlin Brando about the death of his kid. It's so...unnecessary.

I love Chelsea Handler, or what I know of her, but why is it that so many people have to see a woman cry or be emotionally vulnerable somehow before they can really get on her side. Some people just can't get behind Chelsea Handler as a person until they see her cry.

I've read all of Chelsea's books and it some strange way, I can actually relate to her family. Reading that I'm not the only girl who has to put up with a father who scams his way into money, thinks the world owes him everything and thinks everyone is out to get him while taking pee breaks in full view of the public like an animal. She gives me hope that I too can one day get up the nerve to just tell him exactly what I think about him and go on to living a "normal" crazy life.

I agree. A lot of the audience members seem like older mothers who just wouldn't get her humor. Older generations may even find her unlikeable. I, on the other hand, LOVE Chels and would have cherished every moment of being in that audience during this interview.

The audience seemed fine to me. They didn't laugh hysterically but I don't think it's because they didn't find her funny. I think it's because the interview itself shifted back and forth between being serious and light-hearted and they didn't know when to laugh or cry. Anyways, Chelsea gives such great interviews, both ways. I love how she talks to the audience as well as the counterpart of the interview. She was born to do this.

Also: The reason she has the Kardashians on her show is because they both work for E!. So if people are watching Chelsea's show and they need publicity for ANOTHER one of their shows, obviously the higher-ups are going to say "Suck it up, Chelsea, you're having them on your show."

I don't think you understand how being professional works. Sometimes when we graduate high school, we become adults, and we learn that we will have to be cordial to people we don't necessarily like because we have to maintain a business relationship in order to actually get things done without starting fights like a 16 year old girl.
