I was staying at the Chelsea. When I saw Merle sitting in the lobby, she had a glowing purple aura. I’ve never saw anything like that before or since. Everyday I was at the hotel we hung out. She’s glorious. Thank you for the precious interview.

I met her one day sitting on a bench in front of what used to be East of Eighth on 23rd street. We just started talking. What a beautiful spirit and a bright spot in my day! She really made an impression me on me. She must have had an exciting life and she’s a part of the Chelsea Hotel history. I haven’t seen Dreaming Walls, but I plan to watch it. Love Merle!❤

The interview is very interesting but all you really see is a close up of this person's face - would have loved to see a tour since the hotel is a one of a kind landmark...

I used to know someone who had a studio apartment in the Chelsea; in fact, I stayed there a few nights to watch her cats when she went out of town. This would've been in 1986 and there were a LOT of roaches. Stanley Bard was running things back then.

My children are third generation native New Yorkers ( from NYC) and so they love the arts. From a very young age I loved the theatre, music, art, and literature and so I introduced the same to my children. I could listen to Bohemian, artsy people forever..My eldest son enjoys his visits to museums on his days off.......
