What are you talking about. United already have two LBs in Shaw and Malacia. And they have an academy graduate, Harry Armas that has been doing well and can deputize if needed. So then with a fit luke Shaw do u go buy another LB and what do u promise them? First team start? Or to add to depth and have them be a squad player? And then what you have like three LBs? And don’t say what if Luke Shaw gets injured because that’s different scenario and u can’t make financial decisions on what if’s for every position. And there’s other things to spend on before thinking of the what if’s. Like the CB position that you mention and they’re trying to actually get De Ligt for that! And AWB can defend, but he’s poor in attacking play and playing out from the back, so if you want a new Man U there needs to be a change. With a good system. If you put opponents on the back foot by having good attacking mindset, you actually need to be doing last ditch tackles less.
