We’re a football club not Amazon. This idea of buying and flipping players is idiotic. It’s bad for their careers and bad for our reputation. Success on the pitch brings financial success. Playing in the champions league brings revenue. It doesn’t take a genius to understand this. Wasting money on a loan army when we have a leaky defense and an inconsistent goalkeeper is ridiculous. Clearlake care about profit and don’t seem to understand that if you alienate the fans and treat them like customers they’ll keep their money to themselves.

Anytime you have multiple decision makers at a club you'll have a potential mess. Look at New Castle, Man U, and there are other clubs around England and Europe with issues. I don't think them being American has anything to do with the mess being reported. I know this isn't an Apples to Apples example but Wrexham are doing way better than anticipated mostly because the correct people were given rolls and responsibilities with the American owners being an aspect of marketing (given who they are). If Clearlake and Boehly take a less active roll and give the correct people the task of running the club, Chelsea would be alright. Clearly they are spending the money (amounts that make most clubs blush or die of envy/jealousy). Americans understand Athletic businesses this lot just needs to ease up on the ego.
