Bayern and Chelsea are completely different. Bayern didn’t win the league after 10 years and got knocked out in a tough fight in the semifinals against Real Madrid. Yes, they didn’t win any trophies, which sucks, and they didn’t play at their best, but by no means was that season a downfall like Chelsea or other clubs that have experienced a true decline. You can mention Juventus and Chelsea if they are back? That makes more sense.

The last Bayern seasons were a downfall to the extent that they didn’t destroy their opponents like they used to. A proper Bayern team would smash Arsenal 5:1 and be the better side against Real but then only lose because of rigged refereeing decisions. Seriously tho, as a Chelsea fan, I am really stoked at the way the team looks right now. It could be just a coincidence, but it looks like they are really starting to gel as a team and it feels like we are seeing the results of Maresca's coaching much quicker than we did with Poch last season. (Side note, I agree with Stevie on the red card from the Man U game; I'm also a huge fan of NHL Hockey and they punish illegal hits or body checks many times based on the outcome of the play. You have to enforce the rules regardless of the outcome. Punishing an illegal hit/tackle because it caused an injury but doing nothing for the exact same hit/tackle because both players walk away without injury is a really bad look)

There were probably players that felt the way Craig did about every competition when it first started: World Cup, league, cups, champions league. If we are worried about players and things like fatigue, and the obvious answer isn’t just avoid doing things that people really want and would be great long-term. The answer is to allow things like extra squad spaces and encouraging teams to use more of their roster. English teams could basically keep their number of fixtures per year, almost the same just by doing away with the league cup. Some of these new events are exciting, but you also have to be willing to kill off the old events that are no longer needed. there is no reason to have two league tournaments in season. And there’s no reason why a team like, say, Man City couldn’t rotate players like Oscar Bobb and Rico Lewis through to monitor the load management of other players.

People the only problem players have is the coach who plays them at the end of the day. Get players who can play multiple positions well and rotate them. Who is forcing the coach to play the same player a million times???? I know people working 60 hours a week. A football job is probably 2- 4hours a day training, plus 4hours for match day. I'm with Gab on this all schedule thing. I feel for the players to have to play so many games..but let's be real, they are very well compensated for their work, plus many other privileges, connections acquired, access to people and places many people will never get in their lifetimes. Clubs need to make money to pay all these big wages players are asking , do we wonder where that money will come from? Anyone who understand sport business or just business in general even a tiny bit will get it. A club world will be great, would rather watch that than some 2nd Domestic cup. All the league cups only need 1 leg in knockouts, the Champions League format is good but it should be fewer games( 1 team each pot and 2 teams in your pot) and also be one-legg knockouts in the host nation, The nations league and Euros should combine into one competition somehow or just remove the Nations League Break should be a requirrequirementemnet in player contracts
