No one in Brighton's defense has speed, and they were easily pushed past by Chelsea forwards time and time again. Brighton does not lack forwards, but lacks defensive players who have the speed to return to defense.

Can't believe she said 2nd half looks more controlled😂. We created at East 7 chances in 2nd half that should have scored. Jackson clear header that went wide, Jackson ball yhat was cleared off the line, Jackson was closed down by dunk after and had 2 clear shot right in front of goal blacked at similar angles, he got another clear oppurnity in similar position and instead of shooting far corner tried to slot it across for neto who was bearing down yhe midle, palmer quick switch yo his right foot that went just wide. That's 6 clear chances. There were many more however not so clear but some of which should have ended in goal. Righton didn't get a chance in yhe 2nd half only touched our box mabye twice.

We were fortunate this wasn’t a 7-2 match. Injuries aside our passing in the first half was very soft for some reason. Quite the achievement for Palmer. Chelsea were definitely the winners here no doubt. I hope this is a wakeup call for us to tighten things up. It’s still early in the season with time to right the ship but don’t want to drop further in the tables. Let’s go Gulls!!!🍻⚽️

Manager's tactics been found out more or less straight away, can't be playing that type of game with defenders that have ZERO pace. Should of been put to the sword, Palmer let Albion off a hell of a lot, could of been 8/9 at 90 mins.

A high line works if your defenders have pace. Today, they looked like they were running in mud. Chelsea blew right by them and they only caught up when the ball was in the net.

Our lack of quality defenders hurt us today. We could not afford to have Veltman and JP out. Tony Bloom should explore the January window to see if there is someone there. Our mistakes gifted the goals. Palmer is in rare form. It will take time to perfect Fab's game plans.

I like Hurzeler, but he needs to learn quickly that in the Premiership you can't play a high line and just press in the middle. Good teams will pass through you and exploit the space in behind. He also needs to learn not to speak so openly in press conferences. He is not giving a coaching seminar and other coaches will be watching both how is team play and how he analyses it.

With the lack of pace in the defence we really do need to tweak the tactics otherwise the high line will continue to be our weakness that opposition will exploit. Really hope Fabian doesn't get stubborn about this issue. The crumb of comfort from this game was Sanchez being at fault for our goals. After his unprofessional petulant down tools when he left us he deserves all the stick he gets. Looking forward to him warming the Chelsea bench when it registers that he's a smug liability! :)
