Well sure. The project is compelling in ways. We are consistently landing young(. high-potential players on Fairleigh, friendly wages, but I don’t think it’s any deeper than our massive spending towards agents fees. Development level foreign players are 100% going to rely on their manager to do what’s best for them. If they are spending money on managers fees, instead of player wages, it’s smart business by the club. If other clubs wine that we’re exploiting the current rules, they will be changed. Par for the course. Employing novel, disruptive strategies on the finance side has consistently been ownership’s strong suit, while we have been forced to endure a trial-and-error process in most of the other aspects.

​@@mad8235 But Nkunku doesn't only play CAM. He can play LW too and likely will do so depending on injuries, form or tactics. So yes, nominally we only have Mudryk and Sterling as our LWs but Nkunku, Angelo and Hutchinson can play there as well and we can't forget about the kids in the academy. Not all RWs we have will be able to play there so when some of them can switch to the left that's likely what will happen. Similar to how Willian only became a RW for us because he could play there and Hazard was occupying the left.

If Pochettino can turn this team into title challengers it will be interesting to see what happens. I get the feeling that rather than doubling down with big signing to really beat Man City to the title Boehly & Co might sell their star players for huge profit. If Chelsea get 90 points and finish 1 point behind Man City and everyone is waxing lyrical about the Chelsea players I could see Boehly selling Palmer to Real Madrid for £150m or selling Nkunku to Man Utd for £120m. They finished 12th last season, a year after finishing 3rd, because the owners sacked their Champions League winning coach and replaced him with a glorified PE teacher. They then sold many of the players who had finished in the top 4 for 3 years in a row, as well as winning 3 trophies, and replaced them with young kids. Fortunately they finally employed a quality manager who has moulded these kids into a decent team who can finish in the top 6. However, they have a long way to go to match Tuchel’s team. Once they finish at least 3rd and win the Champions League, maybe stop conceding over 60 goals, then hopefully Chelsea will finally be back on target to go for the title. The fact that the owners don’t appear to realise the incredible job Pochettino has done with these inexperienced kids suggests it could still all go wrong again.

Exactly we need to give these young player at least 3-4 season to develop and plus without experienced player around where are these young player learn from, these owners are at this point are just making rat race for young players at the club

⁠@@leogriev what?? These guys were not developed by chelsea they just became big players here and academy players do not have risk they can be sold for profit but if big money young talent doesn’t not work we will have huge loss

You are talking about the previous regime under Abramowich...I'm pretty sure Cold has been developed well by Chelsea. Nkunku hardly need any developing. Jackson has scored a lot of goals. U don't think he's developing? What about the players Chelsea has loaned..a good amount of them are doing well. Obviously, not everyone will pan out. Chelsea knows this though. U can only put 11 men on the field.

All joined chelsea young and became successful. If you are talking about development then we can add more names, Solanke, Guehi, Mount, Colwil, James, RlC, Hall, livramento, Ake, Rice, Christensen, Tomori, Abraham, Musiala, Bertrand, and Terry and those are mostly names from last decade.
