Us not getting the most out of Nkunku is a crime. The guy can get you double digits goals and assists. But Maresca unfortunately is very strict in his way of playing and wants an inverted fullback which makes it impossible to play Nkunku and Palmer together correctly. If we would let our fullback overlap instead of invert we could play both of them together. Jackson Neto Nkunku Palmer Caicedo Lavia Cucu Colwill Tosin Gusto/Reece Then when we attack Palmer inverts and creates the box midfield that he likes and then the RB either Gusto or Reece can overlap and play RM. It’s really an easy fix

Kolo Muani just doesn't excite me. He 26 so isn't a young prospect and he hasn't exactly set the world alight. Compare him to someone like Osimhen who is a similar age and will likely be available for similar money and it just doesn't excite me at all. Ultimately I back the manager and recruitment team and if they think it's a good option then I'll support them but I'm not crazy about it.

Caicedo last year lacked aggression. He was a couple yards short of biting into tackles, intercepting passes and basically bossing the midfield. He's made that jump this year. Nkunku somehow reminds me of this. But again, it's up to the player. He doesn't move aggressively enough off the ball, doesn't work hard enough on the ball, and isn't taking charge enough to make things happen. His previous accomplishments are higher profile than Caicedo's, and maybe he's hesitated to put his head down and take that dogged approach to force it. Jackson's really put his head down as well. It's really up to Nkunku and if he's thinking about leaving then he probably would never get himself into that frame of mind for us. If he moves, he'd probably be forced into that corner and do it quicker. So, if our logic is to keep him from other clubs, but have him stay and be average - selling him makes more sense.

Yan, the numbers on Muani actually add up pretty well. Nkunku is actually on £195K pw (Reece is on £250k). Muani is on €174 euros pw, so about £144k pw sterling. Having said that I really like the look of Liam Delap. He is only on £20k pw at Ipswich, so he could fit easily into a £50-60k pw incentivised structure and feel really valued

I don't get why N'Kunku can't get some of Palmers's minutes since that's the closest position for him. There's plenty of games where Palmer is marked out of the game and he's left on to develop with the pressure of being marked out of the game to the detriment of the team and some good players like Felix and N'Kunku. Felix can also play left wing and could get some of Sancho's minutes. I hope we learn to play them because they are perfect players for Chelsea.

Tbh I’ve been very underwhelmed by nkunku. Yeah he’s not started much in the league but he’s had enough minutes to show something and rarely does anything. There’s no pressure on Jackson no one challenging him. He knows he can miss chances and still start. If we can get decent money or a part exchange for nkunku then take it.

I hope we get someone like Jules Kounde as a replacement for Disasi. This might be controversial, and I'm ok with that. Although we have scored buckets of goals this season, I still reckon our wingers don't pose enough goal-scoring threat, Sancho doesnt core, but he racks up assists, pedro neto, although brilliant with his defensive presence, doesnt score, Noni has issues at training, and has only looked really good at Wolves this season, and mudryks in trouble atm.

Maresca has been public about players that he needs to want to leave. If Sterling and Chilwell don't want to leave then we are screwed as they are likely going to have to accept lower wages to leave. Against Ipswich Nkunku was not a problem. Jackson came in and missed completely one on one chance. The problem was Desasi. He is friendly, nice, technically gifted, but very bad in position. So i really hope Nkunku will remain at Chelsea. He is a world class, and God forbid, if he will go to Arsenal.

Yeah, we got them too young tho. Nkunku is 27 and he's not good enough for the starting 11. Salah and Kdb were like what 20-22 when they had some kind of chance to impress on Chelsea's training ground to break into the 11. Neither did and both went out on loan to Germany and Italy.
