West Adams is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Los Angeles- when Chelsea says "up and coming", she means that big developers and wealthy yuppies are moving into a community that was one of the first places that middle-class African Americans were able to buy a home. West Adams is a huge part of the large conversation around spatial justice in Los Angeles: where minorities are able to live, safely and with the same amenities as their white neighbours, and for how long.
