Trying new things in preseason is for already established teams not for a team like Chelsea that doesn't even know it strongest eleven. The right tactics and systems must work as quickly as possible. You don't have to wait until the season begins before you start fixing your errors. I have said it a number of times and will say it again, inverting James is not the best, he should be allowed to join the attack to free up Madueke and invert Renato Veiga instead. We all know how James influences our games offensively. If he doesn't score he will assist. Moreover, Chelsea want to bring in Victor Victor Osimhen. Who will be providing those quality crosses for him if Maresca keeps on inverting James.
