Young & Christian with no friends | PART 2

I never had friends I mean I had friends but no friends at all. They all told me you can't be with us you are not like us and can't be like us. I was honestly was left by myself during lunch breaks and picnics and excursions. I would dread school and honestly I was the most happy person when I finished school unlike others they were devastated. Years later now when I am old I still don't have friends I just couldn't maintain one. But I always have flashbacks of those school days and for long time I thought those were scary days but one day I had same flashbacks but positive ones. In these flashbacks I saw Jesus with me all those lonely times when no one would pair up in games with me or alone at excursions. I now actually want to go back to school and study again because I know that God was and is and has always been with me. Of course I was not like them. I was not meant to be part of them I was already set apart for God himself. What I wonderful thing. Since then I have good dreams about school but on funny note I still get flashbacks of exams coz even today I hate them. Thanks God bless

I really liked what you said about gossip in the workplace. I recently had a mid year review where my boss told me that a department found me non sociable, and I come off as unapproachable. My boss told me that she doesn't see me as this kind of person at all. I was so hurt, because I have tried talking to these people before but they are very cold. Plus I'm not interested in gossip and tend to stay away from people who do. I immediately forgave them (in my head) for judging me and I asked God to open their eyes and let them see me as He sees me.

lol i think i have been found non sociable on every job Ive ever had loll but i tend to stay to myself for those reasons.I do not like to be involved in gossip. I usually stick to the hey how are you and thats it and theres nothing wrong with that, as long as you do your job and do it well, thats all they can ask or expect from you

I've basically been a Christian for most of my life. Been filled with the spirit since 5th grade. However I was very Luke warm in High school but I started to get really serious about my walk with God in College and I noticed that I found myself alone a lot and it's been really getting to me. I really only have "friends for food". I've been asking God to help me in this time of being alone and to bring Godly friends in my life. Because sometimes I want to give up and go have worldly fun because it seems like they are having a good time; but I know God has bigger and better plans for me. And will bring the right crowd. Basically I'm pruning lol. Thank you!!

5 years ago I decided to re-dedicated my life to Christ. Since then I have lost all the friendships that I had. Some because of a health diagnosis and they weren't willing to deal with the fatigue and other issues I face. I will say that it has been hard for me the past 2 years with not having friends. A lot of them were eliminated for a reason being that it involved sin.

The losing friends part is real. But God will just naturally separate you from people. It’s necessary to have that separation so God can do what He needs in you. It’s hard. And it’s crazy how you lose friends but it happens.

I've had this girl that I was friends with since 8th grade, and now I'm 21. But I noticed we've drifted apart. I agree that it's a war between your spirit and your flesh. Hey great video this helped me a lot but i feel like I'm the ONLY one at school who's a christian people claim it but it's not true and im only 12 and am developing a relationship with got but it gets so hard in school when my friends don't care about god and make dirty jokes all day I've been praying for a christian friend for a long time now. Thanks for this video and your first video on this topic. I have a couple Christian female friends but it is hard to find female Christian friends that like to do the things I like to do for fun. I am a very structured and mature young lady but at the same time I am a kid at heart. I still like to have a lot of fun although I'm 28. I don't always just want to go to the movies or out to eat or "grown up stuff" like that lol. I am a really busy person and am working on some goals financially as well, so I don't get to hang out much. But when I do I like to turn up to some Christian Hip-hop, go to concerts, festivals, go cart racing, Dave and Busters (arcades), paintball shooting, go to sports events, try new things etc. Most women my age aren't into these things. I do like to just chill and do more calm things sometimes too but nobody wants to turn up (Godly turn up) with me expect for guys lol. And I have to limit my time with guys because they end up liking me lol. WHAT DO I DO? I am really girly and somewhat of a Tom Boy at the same time. So I have my girly friends to do "grown up stuff" with lol but no girl friends to turn up with. I do stuff by myself but it's really not that fun alone. I've been committed to a Christian lifestyle since I was 13 so I was very serious and deeply spiritual when I was younger my whole life. Now I want to get out and have fun and everyone else is now getting serious and deeply spiritual. Which is great but they aren't really much fun to hang with.

I’m going through the same season right now. I moved to Colorado to start my life over away from my friends because I was getting into too much trouble. And I went back to Va (hometown) to visit friends and family. I am now married and have a 1 year old baby. I use to be promiscuous and party girl but I’m not those things anymore because I’ve allowed Jesus Christ to enter my life. Anyways, I went back home to see my friends and I’m talking with my old gosh school friend about music and all these things and she asks have I heard the new Beyoncé music and I said I don’t really listen to her anymore. And she acted like what I said offended her. She said you use to love Beyoncé what happened? I said she’s overrated and I don’t think she sets s good example for young women and she practices idolatry. It seemed as if she were upset with me or something. Like I had said something to upset her. Anyways long story short I get home after my trip of visiting friends and family and my friend calls Me to say I have changed, I’m not the same anymore, I act holier than thou. And for the longest I was hurt by the situation Because this is my friend who is telling me this. But now I am praying god will sever these ties from me and my old friends. Because I can see I have changed and it’s all due to Jesus Christ.

Thank you for going deeper in Part 2. I would like to add to your comment about being intentional about what you watch or listen to. When God was working on me regarding music, I remember thinking I could keep my Celine Dion, J-Lo, Mariah, and a bunch of other cds and that I could listen to the radio. No problem, right? But He convicted me and showed me that although they didn't swear in their songs, their content did not honour Him. He showed me to stop and think about what kind of feelings and thoughts were produced in me when I listened to certain songs. One thing I discovered was that there was every style of music in the Christian community; rock, rap, reggae and so much more. Now there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ. This is a word of confirmation for that person who has already heard the still small voice speaking in their spirit.

Funny I was thinking to myself I wonder if this is a season for me to be solo with no friends because yes I go to church and even a women's group every Monday but I still haven't really made any friends and yes the girls talk to me at the meetings,but nobody ever calls or invite me anywhere like they do with each other .. should I just pray about it ? Ppl would ask how I'm doing and I would either say tired or busy loll show yourself to be friendly and available and I;m sure the invites will come in and don't be afraid to ask what ppl are getting into.I have no problem saying "hey my week is open, what is everyone else doing" its okay to put yourself out there too!!

Thank God, i came across this ! there was a time where i put myself in a position so that i couldn't be influence by the world but i was weak in mind and in spirit, i let the devil seduce me because i wanted to keep my friendships so bad but it just enlarge the hole in my heart yet at the same time i was full of pride, jealousy and bad stuff... i realize that what i truly need is Christ... i need to repent and to seriously take up my cross !
