I have nothing but great things to say about it. My jeep is silver and this stuff makes it look super wet. And looks amazing so far I'm in about 3 weeks. I even applied it outdoors on my street and no issues the key is very thin coating. My wipe off was easy. And now I do a onr wash every saturday. Appreciate your honesty and videos brian. Now I'm gonna be stuck on turtle wax because it's coming out right around the corner here. Lol fun fun!

Had a question how would you handle If your car is parked in a car port and it's been sitting for two weeks and it is covered in dust and what ever elements the wind blows and you wanna do a rinesless wash. What is your method, how to start? Or is it better to do a high pressure rinse at car wash? Car is protected with Shield, Armore and Kingsgaurd. since June 2019.

As a mobile and in-house detailer/ceramic coating installer, 6 weeks isn't quite long enough. I want to see a year follow up considering it claims about durability. With that said, I understand time travel is impossible.

I haven't used anything Chemical Guys for a long time, got tired of 50 types of everything. But this video is ABSOLUTE proof if Brian preps the vehicle, he could make peanut butter glossy ( and give all products the best environment to work to it's potential). Enjoy the vids and really liked going along for the ride!

We applied hydro slick about 3 weeks ago on our 87 Corvette and it gave a great shine and on some low clear coat area's hydro slick gave a nice layer . I think Hydro Slick works great for older paint and prep is the key believe most skip that. We had 6 hrs detailing the Corvette plus Hydro Slick takes a few days to cure .Great video as always

I just bought several Mcguire's microfiber wash mitts (15 to be exact). Best thing I've ever done. Major time saver. Use one side of the mitt for one area then flip. I use 10 to completely do the whole car. Put the used one aside and get a fresh one for another part of the car. Very quick. No more rinsing and three buckets and grit guards. Later these mitts are washed in microfiber wash solution and drip dried.

Just goes to show that if you prep and apply properly, HydroSlick works very well. It definitely won't last 12 months like CG claim, but it's still a great product. And considering the size of the bottle and how little you use, you'll get a lot of coats out of it. Anyway, polished an antique dining table this week. Looks great, only the deep gouges and two small areas of deep oxidation remain. Topped it with two coats of HydroSlick and the table looks incredible. Very slick and glossy. The wood grain really pops. I love the stuff. Didn't have any issues buffing off either, only waited a minute.

I have an all-black 370Z sport coupe with an Opti-Coat Pro+ coating and my wash routine is very similar to yours, with great results. The differences are that I use 8 noodle fiber wash mitts in which I wash each section from the top down with horizontal strokes and then flip to the other side for the bottom sections of the car. I never raise a mitt to a higher level. As a final rinse, I spray a gallon of distilled water on the car to dilute the tap water in case any of the droplets don't get blown off with my air blower. My LSP is a wipe with Optimum quick detailer, with Optiseal applied every 4th wash instead of the quick detailer.

Have used 2 bottles of HydroSlick and I put on 2 thin coats of it. Depending on your geographical area and weather, it lasts roughly 4 months in harsh desert-like (hot-dry-sandy) places. In the U.S. northeastern states, the winter weather is brutal, and HydroSlick does not last the winter season, you'll need to clean and park your car inside the garage and reapply Hydro Slick in 4 to 5 weeks. It just can't take the cold, heavy snow, you have a thin ice layer buildup under the snow upon your car. Then the road salt just kills your whole vehicle protection. No one ever mentions the really expensive waxes that cost over $100, so don't complain about spending $30 USD for a bottle of Chemical Guys. Never drive your car through an automated car wash, they are filthy, dirt and chemicals fling upon your vehicle, and the spray-on wax is garbage. Just go home and rinse off your car with the garden hose or pressure washer, soap it up and wash it, then if in a hurry use a spray wax or detailer spray which kind of helps your car's appearance for a few days as it is temporary. Hurricane season in Florida, forget it ... drive far away and save your car from damage.

I'm at about 2 months with hydrocharge and have the same results. Still at 100%. Did 2 coats 24 hours apart and garaged between coats to keep it out of the elements while it cured. Nothing sticking. Staying clean. Still glossy as heck. Not sure how long it will last as we head into rough New England weather - wet falls and snowy winters.

Looking great so far the CG Hydro Slick. Doing the multible wash mitts washes. Have been doing this for almost 2 years now. And are very satisfied with the results when I looking at the finish I still have since 2.5 years since last polishing was done. Have been useing different spray on rinse off products and also the favorite Herrenfarth Sprühglanz in a spiked limited edition version. Angelwax Enigma QED for a while. With a physical disability I can not wash as often as I want to. So I need to be useing a good prewash foam and PW clean rinsing it off. Usually Bilt Hamber Auto-Foam is what's used and it's so awesome in the cleaning ability from it that it's ridiculous. Then the multible wash mitts wash with Carpro Reset or Tac System Mystic Bubble. What I have gotten for kind of defects as they looks like. Is mostly cause we have a law of not haveing any snow build up on the vehicals. So haven't found a safe way to get it off when it is like an ice layer against the paint and the snow on top of that. And that has caused small and very fine scratches. It's 24/7 outside so not available for it to be garaged. I'm actually going to polishing my car today and apply Polish Angel Master Sealant. And maybe after the next wash apply PA High Gloss but have not totaly decided on that though. As I want to see how the Master Sealant does on it's own first. Awesome ride along in your beutieful surroundings Brian! And a beutieful Vette you have! The color must be a little unusual on Vettes? A favorite color for me on many vehicals.

Excellent video Brian! I wash all my vehicles using two buckets and two grit guards. I squeeze the soap from the mit over the panels so it's constantly getting proper lubrication before applying the wash mitt to the panel. As well as a separate rougher mit for the lower part of the vehicle. Lol Also cannot wait to get my hands on the new Turtle Wax ceramic coating.

Hey guys, this is my daily driver and the paint isn't close to perfect I JUST TRY TO KEEP IT CLEAN. Proceeds to Foam Cannon the car twice, uses a detail brush on it, goes around the car twice with a wash mitt, does multiple rinses. Another way to keep your daily driver clean is to just wet it down, get a microfiber wash mitt, and use the two bucket method. Saves a ton of water, product, and time. I don't know, seems like overkill. Love the channel though, watch all of your videos. lol

When I used it for the first time, After compounding and polishing, applied the product per the instructions to a "T" . Then, two days later it rained and it looks like to product just streaked off the car completely. The car went from a beautiful deep gloss and shine, to a cloudy runny mess. I don't know what happened or why. I have called Chemical Guys, followed with an email showing the photos of a complete disaster that is going to have to be redone. Waiting for a response from them. Maybe it was a bad batch, I don't know. but it sure was not a good experience for me so far.

This may seem like an odd question...but would this help protect against bee poop or make it easier to wipe the bee poop off my car? I live out near an orchard, and about 100 yards from my place is a bee farm...my neighbor and I are really into detailing our cars and keeping them clean, and usually around this time of year the bees start pooping all over everything so it's hard to keep our cars clean. They leave little yellow streaks all over the car, and if it sits for a while it'll harden and can damage the paint...any suggestions on removing the bee poop once its hardened? And would this ceramic coating be a good idea to help protect my car?

Had just polished the car, applied two light coats of this 24 hours apart from each other. Took to car out on the highway and a trucker threw a cup of something out his window, splashed all over the front of the car. It was somewhat sticky. Caused the HydroSlick to fail. I was kind of disappointed. Looked phenomenal before that, though.

I am not having any luck with this product. After one wash it’s pretty much gone. After two washes it’s completely gone. Cars paint is squeaky. I prepped properly and allowed the product to dry in my garage for more than 24 hours. I’ve tried to apply this twice now. Very disappointed. I’m going to try a third application and cross my fingers. It’s going back otherwise. The product is excellent up until the first wash. Using Mr.Pink soap.

So I'm having trouble now deciding why I should go with a professional style ceramic coating, this would be alot cheaper right?

Looks good at 6 weeks . However I’m also in Ny upstate not to far from you. The next 6 weeks should determine if the price point is right . It’s a thick goopy product , and if it’ll last looking finished , waxed and clean from the product for another 6 weeks that’s 4 applications a year , with maintenance washes in between. A few topper waxes and give or take a topper at 6 weeks , every 6 or so and you have a regimen for the year.

If I used hydrocharge can I apply this on afterwards? Now if I want to strip it to add a fresh coat do I have to use a machine?
