Josh you’re too nice! This product is overpriced and doesn’t do a good job. IMO their marketing is deceptive and so I would say it’s not good marketing. There are a lot of consumers that don’t know any better, and they rely on the claims made on the label. I’ve been watching your content for years and I’ve learned so much from you. I really appreciate your videos. ✌️

Not sure if it was mentioned, but the lower portion of the wheel seemed a bit cleaner than the top. Not great, but a bit better. I imagine that's due to the chemical running down and spending more time in that area. Also, I have never found a wheel cleaner that didn't also need thorough agitation.. there is no magic chemical that will eliminate the need to scrub. Josh's scrubbing was half-hearted, which I understand for the test, but I am confident he really gets in there and scrubs with gusto on a professional detail job. That said, if you plan to spend the time scrubbing anyway, a mixture of vinegar and dawn dish soap has always served me well. Warm the vinegar in the microwave, add dawn so you have a 1 to 1 ratio in a spray bottle, and spray on to a cool, wettened wheel in the shade, and let sit a while. Then scrub, rinse, and repeat as you would with a chemical. This also works great to soften bug guts that get baked onto the front end and windshield, and it will clean the hell out of your shower! Josh, your videos are great... I've bought so many things you've positively reviewed, and you've saved me money along the way. Thanks!

Thanks Josh, for all the reviews and comparisons you have done and still keep coming! I got a question if you happen to see this!? I’m a trucker and motorcycle rider and been stocking up on my detailing supplies and products to give my hand at it as a side hustle and see what kind of business I can get and grow and possibly get into it as a full time business. My question is, have you ever heard of or used/tested BullSnot products? It’s made by a chemist for truckers but it also has many uses on all vehicles exteriors and interiors and also on motorcycles! I’ve dabbled around with a few of them but never really put them to the test against other products. Just curious if you’d be interested it doing a full line up review of their products and give us your honest professional opinion, like you always do! Thanks again for all the info you push out to us and hard work that goes into it!

@frankb74494 ай бұрын
I think wheel cleaners are mostly a waste of time because no matter what brand, you still have to use a mitt or brush with soapy water to get the wheels clean. So the time it takes to spray on a cleaner and wait for it to do something just makes the wash take longer. I usually use Brake Buster, but even that takes time to mix with water, put in the pump sprayer, spray on, wait a minute or two, then still have to scrub the wheels. Just use soap and water and save time. I get the same results

Re: too many products. I was talking to a manufacturer and I suggested they release 5 products with the same chemical inside. Because the product can cover 5 applications. Answer “no way. We want to keep our product line slim. In fact we are renaming our APC to interior cleaner. We won’t be releasing a new APC”. Interesting how thoughts are so different. For me it feels like I’d need to try 30 different CG products before I found out which ones are good.

I never rinse my wheels before a apply a cleaner. Once you put water on the wheel you have diluted the cleaner. It's going to pull away some surface dirt. You always have to scrub your wheels. I haven't found a cleaner yet that requires no scrubbing of your wheels to get them totally clean. Chemical Guys is miss leading the customer. I used to buy Chemical Guys and Adams till I found out there are way better out there like CarPro, P&S, KochChemi, and many others that just cost a little more and professional grade. It's a gimmick by CG'S. Maybe R&D had a brain fart and couldn't come up with something new other than hey lets make the wheel cleaner blue when you spray it on.
