If there was ever a Pointless question made for me, this was it. Normally I only know the two or three most obvious ones but this one I actually knew them all! Now if only I could know this much about something actually important.

my first ever pointless answer with Antimony!

I am SHOCKED that fewer people knew argon than lead. Maybe the weird abbreviation sticks in people's minds.
@jaywu19517 ай бұрын
People know Pb because it's often found on petrol stations.

Ah. I live in the US, so I didn’t know that.

Would have been a great round for me. I got 7 points across the two halves.

About 40 on the more commonly known Latin ones like ag, au, pb, but only 25 on each of the two answers that you'd get right by just playing the odds of it being the first two letters. Wut.

What do people learn in science lessons these days?
@linmanfu9137 ай бұрын
You 'learn' it, but if you never use it again in the intervening 10 to 30 years, you forget it (perhaps because your brain is cleaning out unused stuff, though that's controversial)

I know iron & Gold. I've forgotten silvers connection to Argentina and everything from Breaking Bad.

The second round is so irritating. Silicon = sc, Gold = ai? so annoying. Also lowest answer was an obvious one, as well. (GD for gadolinium.)
@davidguthary81478 ай бұрын
At least Sc is an understandable response. Too bad it's actually the symbol for scandium. I have no idea where they got Ai from for gold.
@wizardsuth7 ай бұрын
A lot of people would probably guess Ga, but that's the symbol for gallium.

Hayley looks like a bit of a go-er really. Kinda like the repressed look. Hate to think she swung both ways.
