I think I know why you don't have more views/subscribers.... Not too many people are smart and/or determined enough to take a class that takes this much effort! Thank you so much for these videos man. If you don't mind me asking, what University did you or do you attend, and what was your major(s)?

Hi Morgan. Lots of people are intelligent or strongly skilled in one field or another, but one thing is for sure, pchem takes a lot of effort to learn the first time around. The number of chemistry students in the United States graduating with a bachelor's degree per year is typically around 14,000. If you add in the fraction of biochemists, physicists, chemical engineers, and other relevant scientists and engineers who take these courses as well you probably have somewhere between 20,000 and 30,000 students in the United States as a potential annual viewing audience. If you add in universities in the rest of the world that teach classes in English you might double that number. Then you take the fraction of those that are interested in this style of content and motivated enough for study on their own, and you probably end up with a number close to 20,000 again for maximum potential audience per video per year. Surprisingly, I'm probably getting 5-10% of that value already. So there's room for growth, but I don't expect the channel to ever be exceeding 5 million total view per year on pchem content, and that's ok. If it reaches that level then it's more than accomplishing its goal, and will be able to support me while I continue to improve it. As for myself, you can see my personal details in the about section of the channel page (kzbin.infoabout).

Hi)) You might also consider students, who study such stuff, but not in English)) I study chemistry in German. English is an easy way to search for quality stuff. There might be some quality videos in German or Russian that I usualy speak, but I have not found videos on very specific topics so far. These videos are of great help for those, who either do not have much time or who perceive material audially the best. Thank you!
