Short lecture on fugacity as a pressure analog for non-ideal gases.
The fugacity is an analog of pressure for non-ideal gasses that allows us to calculate the change in the Gibbs energy as a function of pressure. Our expression here depends on the virial coefficients of the gas.

I have a question here, who knows can help me. What's the criterion for saying that the forces of attraction are dominant? f < p or Z < 1 I ask this because there is a situation where f < p and yet Z > 1 (below Boyle temperature) if the criterion is fugacity, it is not so intuitive to say that the forces of attraction are dominant and the real gas has a molar volume greater than that of an ideal gas.

Awesome explanation, I was just wondering if you could provide at least a little insight on how to get (mathematically speaking) the definition of fugacity you showed from the term associated to the non-ideality.

Dear Sir , When you defined Fugacity f ( P , T ) -----> " Fugacity " also lim p--->0 [ f ( P , T ) ] = P did you mean to write : f ( T , P ) -----> " Fugacity " also lim p--->0 [ f ( T , P ) ] = P Does it make a difference ???????

I don't believe this makes a difference, as in each case f has the same number of variables, and their identities are the same.
