Sooo i’m half turkish& half romanian i’m not discriminating when i say this. Kaval is originally played by the yoruks based in turkey( the instrument is believed to come from the arabs ) and then got spread to balkans.

Like Russian, Austro-Hungarian and Ottoman... all of which left their influence in our culture. From language, food, music... Things that we "adopted", some with few changes or variations... the same in food. If you ask a Romanian about our national food, they will say "sarmale". Which actually come from turks and you can find them in Greece, Bulgaria, Serbia ...even Hungary

I'm a romanian living in Southampton. Last year I was pissed off after a party. That happend in july, 2019. After the party I went to my house and I wanted to listen to some music and in my playlist was this song also... Of course, as a romanian i understood the lyrics! After i listened to this song i took a shower and thinking about this song (was 4 am) I've decided to go to London by myself and enjoy alone the visit. I had few trips to London, but never visited properly. 2 of the most beautiful dayz. This song it's like a motivational song. Live this life as much as you like and be focused in what you think, what do you want to be! Grow yourself, make the right decisions. Think postitive, even that sometimes it's hard. In romanian rap and hip hop, i dont know if anybody said that already , most of them singers struggled in their early years of rap, so , in order to gain popularity and get some bread they had to either sell their style and become like other famous singers or, and its a big or, to do very subtle music, with a lot of meanings, the type of music that you have to listen 10 times in order to get a little idea about what they wanna say. B.U.G. Mafia and Subcarpați are one of them, translating their lyrics wont help you to much to understand the message. Its wonderfull music that you can allways listen to and pick the right message for the mood you are into. Deliric and Doc are also two very very good vriters, im romanian and i cant fully get their messages, listening to their songs for the 100th time and realising something new hidden between the verses. Subcarpati is like 10+ people. They are not all in every song but they are around 10-15 people and still counting. They recruit at all times. Subcarpati is more like a movement not really a band. I am Romanian but i have to tell you that . The background folklore style song is phenomenal , but the guy rap is against the tempo ,and also the words he use have no impact at all on how he arrange or use them . .... I advice you to search in youtube for ,, B.U.G. Mafia ,, .And you may understand the difference in bit , rap in time of tempo, contest of the songs , and so long . ,, B.U.G. Mafia ,, was the first rap group team in Romania after Ceausescu die , but even now r history from what those new Romanian rappers can learn . ... This song is one of their famous song ,, B.U.G.
