Sir, uhm how do we get the change part because I understand that I have to use ratios but every time I am practicing I fail to understand where the values come from . For instance you wrote "x" for the change value right and I don't understand how you came to use x. However, I do know the way ratios work the only problem is how do I get to decide that I am using x
@MlungisiNkosi2 жыл бұрын
Great question... The assumption here was that 'x' must be the moles of iodine because it is what we wanted to calculate. I should've brought that point across with more clarity. I'll do better in future

great video sir !! Thanks alot ! but just to help future students how did sir get 8.57 in sir's first example ? as HI has a 2 in its mole ratio so isn't it suppose to be squared when calculator the KC value ?

Hello sir. Thank you for the video 🔥🔥it really helped me understand this better, however I have one question. My question is based on the first statement of the scenario given, whether we use the concentration given for the Hydrogen iodide (1 mol•dm³) in the table or does the mention of hydrogen iodide being pure mean it was before the reaction so we don't use that concentration which will lead us to calculate for it as we did in the video?
@MlungisiNkosi Жыл бұрын
Was that not in excess? Because if it is, it won’t be possible to use the excess amount

Hi Mlungisi 😊. Beautiful video😍. I just have one question, for Question 6.2.2.) You said that the forward reaction will be higher than the reverse reaction at t=4 mins. Can you please explain the theory behind this answer. I dont understand how you got that answer. Hope to hear soon😊👍
@MlungisiNkosi Жыл бұрын
The rate of the forward reaction is greater that the rate of the reverse reaction before equilibrium is reached as there are still theoretically more collisions per second because there aren’t as many products yet
@Asra_Fareed Жыл бұрын
@@MlungisiNkosi Perfect response. I understood now 🌸Thank you🌸

Why do some memos substitute negative values in the table
@MlungisiNkosi2 жыл бұрын
To remind you that you must subtract on the reactants side.

Sir how to change percentage to number of moles
@MlungisiNkosi Жыл бұрын
You take the percentage at moles. I’m assuming you’re talking about calculating imperical formula
@calvinbafshoe26262 жыл бұрын
Sir did I hear you correctly, did you just say the rate of the forward reaction is higher than? I think you are mistaken sir because forward reaction is the reactants forming products. Isn't the answer Equal to at time = 4 minutes?
@MlungisiNkosi2 жыл бұрын
It's only at 6 minutes when we reach equilibrium when rates are equal. Prior to that, the rate of the forward reaction is higher. The reverse reaction is playing catch up.
