But there he can hide his face under his white helmet and he can put on the white racing suit and he is allowed to let off all the steam, which built up at the campus during the week.

These videos have everything: a knowledgeable Professor who looks as a Professor should look; bite-size educational explanations which encourage the viewer to seek out more and; fun experiements! How can these videos be targeted at school-age people because this would be a sure-fire way to increase the number chemistry graduates in the U.K. with many probably requesting to study at Nottingham. Great work, I found these videos by accident and have learnt more chemistry in an afternoon than I learnt in two years at school. I must remember though, if I see a vacancy for a lab technician at Notts, Uni don't apply - the workload is must be horrendous! (besides, it looks as though Neil has it covered).

not if it is in a small amount. If i were to dip my hand into liquid nitrigen for a second, the nitrigen around my hand would vaporise instantly, creating a 'bubble' around my hand and protecting it. so if i dropped a drop of liquid nitrogen onto a surface, the nitrogen at the bottom of the droplet vaporises, and creates a layer that the nitrogen floats on, before all of it evaporates.

So, I would like to know more about what Neil does to clean up those messes and prepare the apparatus for the next use. Like, that's a lot of surface to sterilize after smashing that frozen egg all over the place all of which is going to melt before you find it all. Keeping your lab clean is more than half the battle, IMO. I may be wrong but an unexpected result would more often than not mean something unexpected in the environment.
