Now a days synthetic and semi synthetic cutting fluids r there ratio 1:4 , similar like Meg coolant,,can we used Meg by taking ratio of 1:4 and can we used to cut

Glycol is chemical compound. This may be used as coolant.

Water is coolant. Glycol is anti-freeze. Glycol & Water mixture (1:3) lowers freezing point and increases boiling point. Glycol and Water mixture also resists corrosion of the radiator and engine parts through which it circulates.

Yes you can add salt in water. But not ethylene glycol.

@@ChemistryLearners , thank you. I was asking about corrosion prevention in automobile engines and radiator. Ethylene glycol is miscible with water and can be used as automobile radiator coolant. Normal oils do not mix with water and hence can not be used as radiator coolant. Thank you.
