Chemotherapy at Home - Healthcare at Home on BBC Points West - November 2009

Healthcare at Home Ltd are working in partnership with Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre and NHS Bristol to offer patients the choice of having their NHS chemotherapy in the comfort of their own home. The pilot is part of a drive to give people more choice about where they have treatment, and patients living in the NHS Bristol area are being given the option of care at home when their doctor discusses chemotherapy with them. If the trial is a success, it could be extended across the Bristol area and possibly across the country to give more cancer patients more choice about their care.
