Pro tip: Get two NP5 copies and keep one at lvl 1. Not only is he more consistent of a solo "support" than Leonidas thanks to his lower HP, but he's also capable of offing forced story support, thus allowing you to solo pretty much _any_ quest even if you can't take a friend's Georgios. As for his intended use cases: Easily the best non-5 star servant in the game. In fact I'd argue he competes with a good chunk of the 5-stars, especially if your support lineup is up to snuff. His damage output is absurd and he can cycle through an entire backline of five supports within a 3-turn window. His support game is also phenomenal, especially if you have a few crit berserkers ready to go. Grailed him to 90 on JP and I regret nothing. I'll probably go for 100 with maxed out Fou bonuses this time around lol.

I mean, having 2 NP5's would be great and all, but if your looking for a 'solo enabler', you only really need NP6 (5+1, 'cause why give up on leveling such a great unit?). Yeah, you lose out on some damage, but the whole point is supposed to be you fight with only one, right?

Don't trust him behind you. A fun unit overall to start using for yeet teams. But I do want to warn people it's gonna be somewhat hard to do loops as without many high chargers it's gonna be hard to get back to 100 each time. I'm probably gonna do a Chen gong black grial set up with many np gain or charge units to try for fun.

Fun fact: there's an interlude later on (I think Lanling's?) where you fight Blackbeard, and he's hired Chen to help him. The first few turns Chen does nothing except buff himself and BB up, then he fully charges his NP and shoots Blackbeard at you. He also does a countdown while he's charging his NP

Well, the loop part is the fun part of Chen Gong. As an avid 3turn farmer with chen, you usually have to wait for the Castoria support to give him the true NP loop + the free waver.

Worth noting that since Sacrifice treats Chen as the unit's killer, he has a very odd synergy with 500-Year Obsession. If there are quests where you need Chen to make a graceful exit but enemies can't/won't kill him (because they're spending too much damn time jerking off with useless skills), a lv.1 chen with 5YO is pretty much guaranteed to die in a single hit with the curse. It's useless if you're using him for the AA duoloop or his own "looping" but it's worth keeping in the back of your mind.

As a F2P who don't have Merlin, Gong is the servant who teaches me the fun of Buster crits big numbers. One turn kills Ivan's memorial quest with Mori + Gong + Merlin(support) + plug suit Reines is really fun. My Mori is only at NP 3, not grailed, and only at 1/4/4 skills level.

I think it's noteworthy that in the clips, with 2 Castorias, he's refunding around the 80% mark, so stacking 50% chargers if you have your own Castoria might not be needed for every type of node.

Just rolled the FP Gacha. Got all 7 of the new Servants to NP5, the new limited CE to MLB, and 1 Copy of William Tell. Did all the Anniversary Quest only 1 was actually able to kill any of my Servants(Paisen, and her lover didn't slaughter my team nearly as badly as the first time though it still sucked.) Overall good Anniversary. Edit got Gong to lv 65, and he's fun.

I mean, don't -sleep- on his 2nd skill. I mean it when I say literally ANY one of his skills would be immensely valuable on a low rarity servant. Keep in mind how incredibly rare charge is on low-rarities - and keep in mind how incredibly rare AOE defense on a skill is, -period-. The complete list of Servants who can give that: Mash (unless it's Lostbelt time), Waver, Reines, Ereshkigal, Bedivere (for one turn), Archer Artoria (last rateup: last year. rate-up prospects two years from now: none)...and Chen Gong.

This skill is amazing. I mean, 10% NP charge is a no-brainer, but also a 24% DEF increase and a 350 damage cut really compensates for some servants' weakness to regular card damage. Like... Berserkers, for instance. As usual the DEF and damage cut combination is disgusting. To anybody, do NOT sleep on this skill.

Just put necromancy on all of your involuntary human grenades and you can make that max ammo count rise, if you are lucky that is :) also I am so gonna at least once use angra + chen, angra's NP doesn't proc from being chucked at the enemy sure but the stacking guts on his skill plus a ce guts gets 2 shots at a bargain point price along with only taking up one slot of the party, and that targetable taunt could make his NP do something
