Highly recommend reading the story or just listening to someone read it cause it's great. Also, because the NA version follows JP and they are almost 2 years ahead of us, you can easily plan on how to spend your SQ so I do recommend looking up the upcoming banners, especially since you like Morgan cause she is on rate up right now and she has two more banners in the future. You should not miss Oberon too cause his next banner outside of GSSR is in like a year and a half, morgan has a banner again in December I think

dude if you are not gonna read and play the chapters at the same time, don't bother reading the story, later in the game you are not gonna undestand what is happening with only the text or only the fights and the boss fights are really fun later in the game, epecially with the feelings of the moment

You should definitely start reading the story for FGO. There's a reason why when you progress the main quest/story, there'll going to be more arrows in those chapters with nothing but dialog and less battle.

Stumbled on the video by mistake. Really glad to see new people still try and love Fate. Honestly I can understand wanting to skip story cause I skipped most of the event story and Epic of Remnants but this game is 30% story 10% gameplay 60% husbando/waifu. I would recommend just watching/listening to Otaku Daikun story expiations seeing how it’s just someone telling you the events that went on. But you should definitely at least start reading Camelot and Babylonia and all the Lostbelts so you don’t feel discouraged about the long amount of time you have to read said story. Good luck with continuing the game !

I’m glad you’re enjoying the game. But if I were to say one thing which almost everyone else here has already said by now it’s please do not skip the story. Skipping the story means you lose out on over 50% of the content FGO has to offer. While yes the very early chapters are still pretty bad, Camelot and beyond are amazing (besides Agartha, fuck Agartha). The most recent Lostbelt released, Lostbelt 6 is one of the greatest stories I’ve ever had the pleasure of reading. I have yet to find another gacha that has more hype moments than FGO. Not to mention a majority of the characters you have you learn about in the story, and without the story you won’t understand who they are and why they’re great. I’ve had plenty of characters I’ve written off at first glance but after seeing them in the story have become some of my all time favorites. Also people will watch FGO story playthroughs, I watch a multitude of them and am always looking for more people to experience the fantastic storytelling FGO has. Because in my opinion if you skip the story you might as well just not play FGO at all.

Kagekiyo is a monster; just having an avenger in general is really strong for those demon pillar fights, but Kagekiyo is also an amazing servant to have in the anchor position once you level her skills. She has 100% saved my bacon in multiple boss fights since she released. She can solo most fights in the game. (Barghest is similar, an absolute solo monster; sounds like you've already found how useful Koyanskaya is).

Honestly after getting into the final released content on NA, I speedran the JP server with multiple SSRs and getting to the third part of LB6 in just under 34 days. Most of which were spent on me catching upto the translations so as to not get spoiled in detail. For example, I finished the singularities in three days. One day each for every EoR and two days for one LB. Its like a fun dash down memory lane.

The storngest point of FGO is its story. I'm a filthy story skipper in Arknights, but I never skip it in FGO. Especially the main story. The story at the beginning is just a regular classic mobile game old story templete. In short, generic. But as the chapter goes on, it keeps getting better as the dev realized that the playerbase wanted a more complex story. And in the latest update, the newest chapter was released and most of the playerbase agreed that it is the peak of Fate series story.

I can see this man will have mental breakdown once summer banner come out where 6 servant (2 SSR and 4 SR waifu servant will use swimsuit including husbandos that come in form of free unlockable skin). Especially a fan of Sei Shonnagon. Make sure to save now or you will punch wall behind you next regretting that since you new player. Also that summer event this year will not return next year but banner will return with exception it stacked with other good servant and yeah old summer servant that want your wallet kun dry.. That aside about the story it is long. But there are anime of it. Start from 1. Fate/Grand Order : First Order 2. Fate/Grand Order : Shinsei Entaku Ryouiki Camelot Part 1 & 2 3. Fate/Grand Order : Zettai Majuu Sensen Babylonia 4.Fate/Grand Order: Shuukyoku Tokuiten - Kani Jikan Shinden Solomon Bonus sine you "cough" fellow astolfo fans "cough" Fate/Apocrypha. Probably anime you would like since you meet her in this one. A spin off called Fate Grand Carnival also good just for laugh. Love the video btw.
