chenle is from a big city in china, shanghai, and presumably bc he comes from a rich background, he probably also went to a more expensive school that had a really good english education! that happens a lot in big cities in china and in general many chinese idols in korea are pretty good at conversational english. he also did some singing activities as a child with non-chinese musicians so I’m sure he learned english in those situations too.
