Chennai Egmore - Coimbatore train journey shared in this video. Onboard 06003 Chennai Egmore - Coimbatore election special train. Lallaguda ( LGD ) WAG 9H 31144 loco in charge.
Thus special train operated on April 18th & April 20th, 2024 as special train from Chennai Egmore to Coimbatore via Villupuram, Mayiladuthurai, Thanjavur, Tiruchirapalli, Pazhani, Pollachi & Podanur.. Total travelling distance : 662 km.
First time direct train service from Chennai Egmore to Coimbatore via Pazhani, Pollachi operated. I travelled in Sleeper class. Ticket fare Rs 492.
Almost captured all intermediate stations stopping ( except Manaparai ). Overall I had nice experience in this journey.

14 hrs is too much time to coimbatore yes as you said coimbatore people will not prefer rhis train but useful for mainline peoples.

Good Train. If I amnoit mistsaken there used to be train in 1990'a from Egmore to Pazhani (Meter Gauge). This was discontinued . Now because of election they introduced this train. Hope this train becomes a permanent train.. Thank you for the video Mr. Nambi Valavan. Only thing you need to stop repetitive of same info. Thanks for your undertanding

No special train only operated as Election Special ( two service .) NW ( North Western ) rakes used but not sure about rake sharing arrangement

Again there are doing mistake😑😑they are not operating via Vriddhachalam,Attur,Chinna Salem Erode which is much shorter duration than via Villupuram Thanjavur,Trichy,Dindigul,Palani,I mean railways yen andha route use panne mate,Big mistake It's an Unexplored Route,want to travel day time train journey through this route Badly Need a Alternative train Chennai Egmore-Coimbatore & Chennai Egmore-Ernakulam Day Train via Vriddhachalam,Attur,Chinna Salem Erode.

Good suggestion. At the same time Chennai Egmore- - Coimbatore train via Dindigul Pazhani, Pollachi too will be very useful. Direct train to Pazhani & Pollachi from Chennai Egmore / Tambaram will be useful for South Chennai and Villupuram, section passengers to reach Pazhani Murugan temple.

@@NambiValavan yes you are right For South Chennai people it will give connectivity to Pollachi/Palani that's good. I think only issue can be solved by constructing Bypass line near Vrridhachalam Jn & Salem Jn to avoid reversal & to utilise this railway line & earn profit That is why most of the coimbatore Going trains either go via Katpadi-Jolarpet or Thanjavur or Trichy It's dream for us to travel those route Via Vriddhachalam,Attur,Chinna Salem, an unexplored route,want a day time train journey through this route
