The present port at Chennai is quite inadequate therefore Ennore (Kamarajar) Port was constructed, that too become in adequated so a North Chennai Port was constructed by M/S Adani, this too is insuffcient so L&T had constructed at Kattukuppam,80 km from chennai. So far so so much about Chennai's economic development. Pity, jealousy people depict it less than Bangalore. Listen, Chennai's Kollywood alone earn more than B'lrs ITs put together, dare to deny this fact.
