Bro I have a friend who has a sponge filter and his fishes are doing fine... I am setting a new tank step 1. add seachem prime and switch on the filter Step 2. Next day I am planning to get waste from his sponge and a little water from his aquarium and pour it through my filter and let it sit for a week Step 3. After 10 days buying fish acclimate and adding them to the tank... Will my fishes do fine if I do so ? Which one do you think will work fine either seachem stability or beneficial bacteria from a friends tank..

Dont get the aquarium water or sponge waste from other aquarium.. they might carry some parasites in those water.. either add quick start or just run your filter for 10 days.. bacterial colony will be formed and then follow step 3

Hi Francis. Actually I have a doubt hope you'd clear it as possible. Actually am using RO can water for my aquarium which has the setup with sump. Actually a period of 10-12 days it's clear and white and aft that it gets yellowish slowly and period of 20 days completely yellow and again have to change it. Even tried with bore water but couldn't stop those water becoming yellowish. Hope you'd help

Syed suhail Ahmed you are not supposed to use sea sand.. those sand will make your aquarium smell bad n it will turn your water color. It’s quite dangerous to use for fresh water fish..

Just Football Stuffs check your ph in bore water. If ph is more than 7 it’s hard water u can use it for African cichlids.. they are meant for hard water.

saarall photography not a prob. Leave the tank for a week. Then fill the tank with water for 3 days and rinse it thoroughly and remove the water . Then u can add fresh water
