In this weeks brand new episode of In-Depth Outdoors TV, host James Holst and IDO Fishing ProStaff Mike Anselmo of Hudson, Wisconsin haul the Skeeter Boat and Yamaha 300 Off Shore out to Chequamegon Bay on the hunt for Smallmouth Bass in the Great Lakes. A majority of our day was spent fishing the shallow water areas, where we found darker dirty stained water that warmed up faster than in the middle of the bay where the water is very clear and it isn’t uncommon to catch a Steelhead or Brown Trout. Throughout the day we casted a variety of baits including the Rapala Shadow Rap Shad #9, B FISH N Tackle Pulse-R Paddle Tail (3.25 Inch), and VMC Marabou Jigs (1/8th Oz). After this episode airs, and the water temps warm up we do expect fish activity to increase. This is a hot bite you can get on right now, so be sure to get in the truck, and head over to Chequamegon Bay for a day of great fishing.

They can be buggers to tie, but they also can smoke the heck out of the fish. Give em heck, and good luck!

Hey guys love your show and enjoy watching you fish all the different bodies of water and fish species and I was wondering if you ever did a show or would do a show fishing out on lake Champlain for several reason one myself being a local Vermonter but just also it is a great fishery for so many direct species and I don't think it gets recognized sometimes, anyway food for thought. It looks like a fun lake, the 21 hour drive is daunting though. But drive time hasn't stopped us in the past, and it won't stop us in the future. Thanks for the tip and suggestion!

I caught my first smallie today, I messed up my cast because the lure wasn't heavy enough and so it only went 2 feet in front of me and I ended up pulling in a 3 pound smallie

LOL, that is awesome. The fish pick the winners, each and every time. Your scenario was no different.

+newyorkairsofter We utilize Mustang Inflatable Vests during the broadcast season. They are in fact Skeeter Branded as mentioned in another comment in this string.
