Liberace gives Cher, (as ‘Laverne'), a tour of his Hollywood Hills mansion for an episode of ‘The Sonny and Cher Show’ in 1974. At the end of this wonderful episode you'll also find some production photos. Don't miss...

SuperPussyFinger - So said Scot Thorson who had an axe to grind and a movie to promote. I don’t believe anything that Thorson says, he’s a gold digger. He also said that Liberace got him into drugs, another slur that isn’t credible. It’s easy to tell tales about someone who is dead. If you want to believe him that’s your privilege but I don’t.

@@BobK5 I believe the truth is somewhere tilted towards mr Liberace and rightfully so. but Scott did have some legitimate grievances . In the end Liberace is no longer with us but agree what a tremendous talent. Seen him as a teenager live in 1977 outrageous costumes undeniable talent. He was so nice with the audience a complete profession .

I'm sure he was most remembered for his softest touch command of the keys. Infectious smile, gentle demeanor. ..and Of course, signature candelabras. A bit too showy of his ( riches ) though. , I'm sure my Dad ( who LOVED his playing ) basically considered him a comedian. Think I agree. And I Always thought him pretty Cool- in the 60s and 70s right amongst all the folk and psychedelia of our day.... One of a kind !! Lee Lives !!!

I'm 57 now and I'm not sure why, but lately, I have been interested in learning more about this man. He really enjoyed his flamboyant lifestyle and that was his trademark, but I sense a man with much deeper ideas. There's no telling what his real life was like and what he had to deal with. He could sure make beautiful sound come out of that piano. His world was full of bright glittery lights and luxury and beautiful music. Not a bad world to visit from time to time.

As I child growing up in the eighties, I was totally enamored with Liberace. There will never be another Lee Liberace, few would argue. My Uncle Ron did the rout iron work at Lee's Las Vegas home and was able to get an 8x12 signed autograph of Liberace from him to me. Hee even drew the candelabra and the grand piano. This was my treasure. Then somehow I lost it? This devastated me, especially after Mr. Showmanship passed. Breaks my heart to even think about it. Lee, we miss you. -Brian

At a small town Auction there was an autographed post card on the back side of his home: “To Loretta, Love, Liberace 1963” also has the drawing of the piano and Candelabra. The opening bid was $5 five dollars, no one else bid so I own it now for five bucks. It’s in the house, I need to dig that out and display it.

Hi Cher - (Laverne), I thought I had seen every Utube video of you and Liberace. I was wrong. This was great!!! 😘 I have seen you both in concert in my 20's, then again in my 60's. FANTASTIC!!!! I was living with a fella who had a great sense of humor, & he purchased the subscription tickets at the 'Garden State Arts Center'. (Towards the shore). They have artists who are there every year, then if there's a group of bands you if you want to see (mostly rock - we took the kids) my oldest was born when Chaz was. Anyway, usually I dressed very sparkly (got to dress for the occasion). when we drove down to see Liberace. He wasn't sick yet. After about the sixth year, (he was wearing cut-offs & drinking), at the intermission, Liberace did his usual talk of "come down & see my jewels - you bought them." Jim leaned over to me all sparkly & said, "if you don't go to the stage & see him, I'll never take you again."I Uh oh! I looked over to the main aisle, & it was mostly people my grandparents age. Using walkers & going very slowly. I had on silver flats & I scampered down the side aisle. I got there first, so he played his shtick to me. I be told him I took 15 yrs of piano lessons, & he said, "would you like to dance?". Steps came out & he helped me up & the orchestra started. We danced a short Strauss Waltz. He smelled great! I think that beats my wedding as the most exciting day in my life. Well, I did win 4 tickets from Cousin Brucie to see The Beatles at the original Shea Stadium. Great! However Liberce was an experience! He had "the Dancing Waters". And I danced with him!!!!! And I ate mushrooms on the drive down (first time fried like that) Thanks Cher!! ❤️

he played those keys like they were light as feathers and just glided over them. Back then I didn't care for his music but I was only 12yrs. old when this was filmed so rock and roll plus getting into listening to country music, but he seemed to be a nice man, then I watched his movie and it told us about the life he had to hide, so sad he can't be here now and feel the freedom we all have now. I'm not gay but have family and friends who are and even my granddaughter. I hear people say gays are all going to hell cause all they think about is dirty stuff and sex but never the real love another person can have for the other person. I know my word says God loves us all and those sitting on pews in their church commit a sin every day and never ask for forgiveness of it and that is judging others, God tells us not to judge each other or we will be judged for the same thing and some of you that make it to Heaven will be shocked to see others there you never thought would make it, think of Gods mercy
